I feel your pain, but your suggestion is unlikely because of the problems that arise when this option is gone:
- Given the entire team agrees the game's lost, their opponents pretty much control how much longer the team's going to suffer and waste their time - assuming they don't resort to leaving the game or straight up afk, and trust me ppl will after being toyed around.
- Existence of trolls that do not care about the game and are just here to watch ppl suffer for their pleasure. Surrendering frees good players from suffering in a situation that's against the rules and not supposed to happen to begin with.
I believe what you're experiencing is the typical phenomenon in normals: players there value fun over winning, so they pick champions that are strong early game, bully their opponents for fun, then when game gets to 20 they figured they're about to get outscaled so they just ff and move on to next game and repeat. I also believe this is happening because the reward for winning isn't significant enough for ppl to care about losing, and there's nothing I can think of to help, unfortunately. Making the losing team lose lp is an option, but that's just plain dumb since those who need lp will never save up enough, ppl will simply use up lp and keep it close to 0, and this makes ppl even more likely to unleash the poison when teammates make mistakes.
Yeah in normals, when you're winning and want to kill more, but the enemy team surrenders duh...
Surrender should only be allowed when there's afk for more than 3 minutes or so.
