@Riot Stance on Corruption Potion?

The new usage of corruption potions have been going on for a couple days now and I'm seeing more and more people do this.

Can we get some communication regarding your stance on this matter?

If you are referring to the bug (which I'm still not sure what it is), they recently issued 7 day bans to Korean players who were abusing it.

So don't abuse the bug

Idk why they ban people for it...it's riots fault that the bug is their so in a way it's a part of the game. Soon they'll be banning people for spamming emotes right?

Because it's an unintended interaction that they likely didn't even know was in there. When you have people knowing something is wrong with an item to their advantage, and using the item solely for that, it's kinda against the rules

Calling it a bug is a misnomer at best. It's poor design, an oversight. That's ridiculous that they're banning people over it.

It's something not working as it's supposed to. That's a bug. And they are banning people temporarily for deliberately abusing the specific interaction causing it.

Who is it poor design when they didn't even know such an interaction was possible?

It is working how it's supposed to. They just forgot to not make it work this way.

I'm not, further I specifically went out of my way to avoid mentioning what it was exactly so that people don't look it up and start doing it.

But I think an official statement needs to be issued so that players don't hear it from their friends and think its okay, then get banned.

And it messes with the balance of the game extremely hard.
