Knight's Vow- Potential Strategies UNLOCKED

item 3801 + item 3801 + item 1029 + 800 G = 2400 G Total +400 Health +100% Base Health Regeneration +20 Armor Active :: Designate an ally as your partner. (90 second cooldown) Passive :: If your partner is nearby, gain 40 additional armor and +15% movement speed while moving towards them. Passive :: If your partner is nearby, heal for 12% of the damage they deal to enemy champions and redirect 12% of the damage your partner takes to you. This effect is halved for ranged champions.

BOTTOM LANE

Strategy #1: Double Drain Tank/Anti-Ranged Melee Lane The idea here is that both champions start Relic Shield and then get Knight's Vow. They both fuel each other by dealing damage and both provide each other with protection that is negated by their own heals. If you are anti-ranged, you can also likely innately push aggression against the enemy early on.

Strategy #2: Double Carry Bottom Lane The idea here is that you have a Ranged Carry and a Melee Carry, immobile one. The Melee Carry rushes a Knight's Vow and attaches it to their ADC partner. Now, the main weakness of an immobile Melee carry is that they are often countered by Ranged harass and kiting. HOWEVER, their ADC almost acts as a sustain battery for them since as long as the ADC can deal damage, the immobile Melee carry is infinitely harder to kill since they are just passively getting tons of health back through their ADC healing them. Melee carries, especially Juggs, also often don't rely too much on gold since their base kits often pack enough damage as is, so they aren't losing out on too much by going Bottom Lane Support.

Strategy #3: The Armordillo God Strat (personal favorite) Unless I am mistaken, Knight's Vow heals off of ALL DAMAGE DEALT by the ally. You know what that means right!? That means it should based on text heal off of damage dealt by items! YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!? Thornmail baby! Oh my god, so listen up. The strategy here is you have Rammus + another armor heavy Tank (Malphite, Taric, etc.) and send them BOTH Bottom Lane. They both farm up a Knight's Vow, link it to each other, AND THEN BOTH FARM UP THORNMAIL! Now, whenever an enemy champion attacks them with a basic attack, they will not only be damaging themselves but ALSO healing their target's Knight's Vow partner for 12% of the damage dealt back to them! And unless it's hidden, Knight's Vow has no AoE damage healing reduction like Gunblade. Holy crap... Heck you don't even need Rammus himself to buy Knight's Vow if you wanted. Just be anyone and attach Knight's Vow to a Rammus and you will be getting incredible amounts of health back as long as the Rammus is being attacked.

OTHER

Strategy #1: Pet Abuse Similar to the Rammus God strat, we abuse the fact that Knight's Vow's heal is like Hextech Gunblade to heal off of the pets of other champions. It's not as big, but it sure does unlock some potential.

Strategy #2: Duo Top Apply the above strategies to Top Lane instead. This might or might not work, so be warned.

Jhin's 4th shot is going to be such a burst heal.

MF ultimate since Knight's Vow healing doesn't seem to be reduced if it's AoE damage

Would be fun, but you cannot link Knight's Vow to another one. You can only link it to someone who doesn't have this item. But still, there must be fun things to try.

Have you tested it? I've heard this is the case (which is honestly a bloody shame because nothing too insane is happening by two champions putting Knight's Vow on each other). The only insane thing I think would happen if it was allowed to happen is the Thornmail strat, but that can be fixed by the healing being reduced for AoE damage.

Luckily only one (technically two) of the above strategies are negated completely if this is the way it is.

Don't have a PBE account unfortunately, but I follow closely surr@20 et PBE boards. And I'm kind of wrong, you can link your Knight's Vow to another champ that has a Knight's Vow. It's just you cannot link your Knight's Vow if you're already linked to another one. You're either the knight or the lord.

But still, there must be something to do with rammus / galio + thornmail.
