Overspecialization - No one will ever get it.
I've been trying to point this out for years now, but the League community is so goddamn fucking stupid, even expecting the most basic cognitive functions that literally every living thing on this planet is beyond wishful thinking.
Entire teams will go all AD, all melee, all or nothing, all single target assassins focused solely on killing squishy targets with ideally no active summoner spells or crowd control, with slows between them so rare they are more valuable than every ult and summoner spell on the team COMBINED. It doesn't take much to counter an entire team whose damage, tactics, and skills are basically the exact same thing, even more so if all those players outright REFUSE to do absolutely every other possible job, including warding, pushing, defending, claiming objectives, and so on, all in favor of the one thing they think is the most important, which is pentakills. With increasing frequency, players are even refusing to do jobs that are fucking REQUIRED OF ASSASSINS TO DO, like killing stragglers, getting armor piercing and/or Grevious Wounds when it's necessary, getting a ghostblade, and the list goes on. On top of that, it's not even isolated to just a handful of players or even entire divisions. MASSIVE FUCKING SWATHS of the community have forcefully isolated themselves to such a nanoscopic role and function that even in the most ideal circumstances possible, they can't even teamfight a minion without failing.
We have long since crossed the evolutionary dead end, and the game has suffered a mortal blow because of it. Almost no one is supporting, and the few that do have more responsibilities than everyone else combined. This isn't Riot's balancing; no amount of balancing will compensate for the fact that too many players have decided to just focus exclusively on that one in a million occurrence, and one role is performing more functions than 99.999% of everyone else. It's killing the game, slowly but thoroughly, and no one notices this. Even if they did, they'll expect Riot and the support to fix it, or someone else; anybody but them. Too many players simply refuse to change.
