Is it intended or bugged that Cassiopeia still does her ult while being stunned?

It's been several times I have tried CC'ing cass to cancel her ult, and with no success everytime. Only tried stuns for the moment (such as Pantheon W), but it seems her ult is uncancellable, is it intended or should it work otherwise?

Cassiopeias R has, just like almost every other spell a cast-time. For some abilities this is barely noticeable (Ezreal Q for example) for others actually an important part of their kit (Ezreal E). Cast-time is uninterruptible except if the champion dies while casting. There's also channel time: Abilities like Karthus R or Malzahars R use that. Main trait of channel-time is that it's interruptible by CC and the user can't move most of the time. (The only example against the non-movement rule I can think of right now is Ryzes ultimate)

TL;DR Think of Cassio's ult as a shorter version of Lux's ult.

Well if we're going on the roleplay point of view, I'm pretty sure she looks at you all the time, she doesn't just open her eyes for ulting. And since being on perma ult isn't an option she gotta use magic or such at one point, which she shouldn't be if she's stunned.

No thats not what meant the wind up is her looking and some magical power leaves her eyes
