I cringe when i have Teemo on my team.

What good is he on any team ? like in all seriousness. Rework him or something. He has got to be the most gimmick champ in the game.

I post the same shit and the neckbeards of the forum say no he is good still even though most teemos are trolls, feeders and toxic assholes

Yeah in fuckin masters where they use him to every last bit of extent he has. My favorite is when they go mid and feed their asses off like the enemy team is a 3rd world country.

Fucking this. People don't play teemo because he's fun. They do it because they enjoy being infuriating little shits who feed off the misery of others.

Kek I think Teemo is fun, thinking about where the enemy is going to go, steath in the middle of the enemy team, being able to 1v1 other assassins

Being fair, this is also a large reason why I play (though I derive much enjoyment out of it). I don't play Teemo personally, but there is a blissful satisfaction to seeing somebody thinking they're gonna get to play league of legends today, and showing them just how wrong they are.

Disclaimer: I inflict misery only on the enemy team, although I will gladly partake in the salt of my own.

I think he is still good, but not like he was before, there is this one build that is hell to play against and is quite usefull.

I dont get what he offers for his team. He is just a gank magnet that goes 0/3/0 even before he reaches 6. What does teemo offer compared to quinn at map control or lane bullying?

...Why do all of these teemo mains scream their lungs out about doing most damage on team. It hardly means ANYTHING if all of it happened while not in combat and they healed it off.

Which can be done about as efficiently with wards. I cant recall any match that vision factor of teemos mines were useful. The radius is small.

Like isnt this the sole reason people scoff when someone picks teemos sup without sightstone?

You can place 25 wards at once? Cool story.

who the hell cares if you got a upgraded red trinket. and you cant place 25 at once. there is obviously a cooldown timer and the counter-intuitivity of wasting time when you dump those things and not pushing lane.

Playing a ranged dueling splitpusher, and a tactical minelayer at the same time doesnt compute.

Uh those shrooms help a lot with detecting stealth champions.

Also, who said to stay in one place?

You even seen a good teemo?

45% CDR is a long time?

You sure?

  1. A person with a brain would spend 75 gold in totally negating those mines. And they even get a second chance using red trinket.

  2. If you are really saying teemo with tp generally helps. You have problems with logic being just a lcs meta sheep. Top lane tp is used because of the toplaners inability to intervene botlane. And since TP has been nerfed with alonger channel times, champions with high mobility and isolation skills are required. Does teemo apply in any of this? A champion that rewards placing mines in a concentrated area?

  3. Not much. https://champion.gg/champion/Teemo There are a few champions in this whole game that has a higher death ratio than their kill and assist rates. The first noteworthy is yasuo, the second is teemo. They die a LOT. And its probably not just because of their kit, but also their mentality of why they are picking teemo in the first place. I do sometimes play with teemo players but they need a lot of communication to work around. Going stealth cover ops with no Verbal contact with your allies sucked in any part of war in history. And lol is not a exception.

  4. if youre going 45% cooldown build on teemo, youre a nutter for not taking executioner on masteries as a lane bully.

rtbf2216514121 votes
  1. You can't detect them all. If you are not spreading them out you are doing something wrong.

  2. I never said get teleport. Good job.

  3. Yes, but we got pings for that

  4. Even 40% CDR works. 10 seconds for a shroom, maybe a little more. It's a little faster than Red. Winrate and K/D/A changes with season. K/D/A also means nothing if it means your team is winning from your deaths.

It isn't season 6 anymore. There is less stealth detection.

There is exactly the same amount of stealth detection, in fact control wards are even much better than pinks were.

Also: "Places a visible ward that reveals Camouflage but not Invisibility. Disables nearby enemy wards." - Control Ward

In other words...

Cool story bro.

Let me rephrase, none of that matters for teemo shrooms. My mistake thinking you could keep context in mind without me having to bring it back up.

"Tosses a stored mushroom as a trap that detonates if an enemy steps on it, spreading poison to nearby enemies that slows Movement Speed by 30/40/50%, reveals them..."

It's basically a pink ward that self-destructs and does damage... With a lot of them being able to be placed.

My mistake thinking you would understand.

nm10102 votes

I don't think I can respond fully without being an asshole so I'm just gonna be brief, you keep on referring to shrooms as pink wards and not something completely negated by item 2055 and item 3364.

Teemo's in my games are lucky if 3 shrooms hit champions the ENTIRE game, they do however give some nice consistent gold for clearing them out.

nm10102 votes

They are not only detected, but disabled aka don't detonate at all. They are literally useless if you just activate a sweeper and walk through an area. Get into a fight? Same thing or drop a control ward to negate any shrooms again. Teemo does not have an ult.

You already did that. Reap what you sow.

Oh don't be a drama queen, you wanted to be mister smarty pants by not taking in context on my first post.

nm10101 votes

You say they help detect stealth champions, I am telling you that they don't help with anything outside of pushing a lane. They don't grant any vision while getting cleared and have what, 1/6 the vision range of a regular ward?

Oh just ignore him. I gave up. He apparently doesnt know how much red trinkets directly counter teemo, or has not experienced it yet of some reason possibly connected towards his general quality of the games he has.

nm10101 votes

It'd be nice if he stopped editing his posts after I respond :P I probably will people do tend to have a habit of not wanting to listen to reason in lower divisions.

nm10101 votes

Shrooms with 45% cdr are 1 per 8 seconds, oracle lens at highest cooldown is 76 (60 at level 18). Jungle and support normally have one so assuming we wanted to clear every shroom teemo had we would need to get 4-5 (3-4 at level 18) per lens use.

If he had time to drop all he possibly could (37) without interuption just drop a control ward where you want to go to disable many of them while you clear a safe path.

Yeah tell that to the evelynn that hits the mushroom every time. You might need to learn more and read better.

Catastrop1 votes

Again, it doesn't give true sight. When it says reveal, it just means you gain vision of them like you would with a normal ward. Invised units will remain invised. Also, Eve uses camo, that's why she gets revealed. You need to learn the difference between camo and stealth.

**I am a Teemo main with 1 million mastery points. ** Since season 6 I don't play him in ranked because his kit feels weak and in need of an update. He is most viable as a counter pick to certain top laners, where you are able to snowball an early lead due to his range and high base damages. In order to be effective playing Teemo, you have to keep the enemy top laner out of fights(by killing them), then splitpush and steal enemy jungle camps using shrooms for vision. In teamfights, putting shrooms in escape routes after the enemy has used their sweeper. In teamfights, all Teemo does is auto attack while someone else peels/CCs. I usually build some form of sustain. He is basically a secondary DPS carry with enough utility and somewhat viable tanky builds to handle top lane in certain matchups. This is my most effective build. Teemo item 3151 item 3146 item 3165 item 3022 item 3085 item 3020

I think Teemo needs a rework. The problem is that Teemo acts as a marksman, mage, and assassin. He has no clear identity and his kit is all over the place.

The first problem with this kit is that his traps lead to an unhealthy, non interactive playstyle. I wish they would take the emphasis of his kit off of his traps. They hold most of his damage, yet they are too easy to be destroyed by enemies before a fight starts. They should make his traps a basic spell, say E, and give him an actual ultimate with CC. The poison damage from his E should be moved to his passive. His current passive feels like it doesn't have any real use except when you're already ahead and you wait for someone to walk by then 100-0 them. His W should be updated to a dash so the champion has an actual mobility tool, because right now his W is useless. His traps should be in E. His ult should be a new ability, according to what direction they want to take the champion. If they want to focus an AP playstyle, he should have a bursty AOE ult. If he is a marksman, a typical long range skillshot. If they want to develop the assassin style of his kit, his ultimate could have give gain bonus speed or effects, and possibly incorporate invisibility.

Welcome to League of Legends, where all champions are misjudged even though deep down it's the summoner's fault if they're broken/weak/had a bad reputation.

A good teemo player provides more vision a support can due to his shrooms, provides damage depending on build or even slight utility that can be helpful in the right conditions.

A bad Teemo player shouldn't even bother to touch the poor guy who's getting a terrible reputation already and kinda is getting fed up of dealing with morons using him for the wrong reasons.

So as a proud and kind Teemo main, please, suck it up, if you have a problem, take it to the player behind the screen, not the champions. The "honorable ones" appreciate your quiet attention.

I cringe as well. So fcking useless. What does he offer when the enemy has a Nautilus, Poppy, Darius, Irelia, etc.

RogueWill2 votes

He is basically an AP version of an ADC, if you already have a tank support, a diver jungler and a mage mid he actually works quite nicely.

Darth Sidiouss1 votes

With no real cc or dependable carry potential.

RogueWill1 votes

He covers the niche of secondary dps dealer. Teemo does a lot of damage and additionally shut downs the enmy top laner. Assuming other roles can cover their weakness he can deal both AoE and single target or fall back to splitpush if necessary, he works on a similar way to singed or tryndamere.

And a target blind is a pretty good CC if you ask me, it basically renders useless one of the enemy frontlines (either the assasin or the diver). But he really needs some beefy teammates to hold the front line for him

SGT Dingle Berry1 votes

Problem is most people pick him even when they don't have a comp that'll work with him.

RogueWill1 votes

They also pick Yasuo or Ezreal without proper team comp but that is apparently ok. Problem is Teemo has a stigma of being a troll champ while the others don't.

AcidTheWarlock1 votes

I hate seeing Teemo and Yasuo on my team. I ban him so no one on my team can pick him.

I think a good bit of people consider Yasuo a troll champ, despite Yasuo mains being very good.

Baby Ghoul1 votes

In low Silver I don't cringe too often. Many people end up dying a bunch to Teemo easily. However even in low Silver games don't usually end quickly, so the chances of the team losing due to an insufficient comp are high. All the enemy team has to realize is that they win late game, and sadly I don't see a lot of tilters when I'm playing with a Teemo.

Teemo is a really terrible pick though. I especially let out a cringe when I see this. Teemo "I'll go tank Teemo."

I've seen it all, even one with a Sightstone. Why would a team need two Sightstones you ask? He claimed more vision helps us win. We didn't end up winning because the cheese master didn't cheese.

I really wish people would stop playing him outside of Bronze, or at least learn when they should pick him.

Supreme Senpai691 votes

He's a split pusher / stat stick. While ahead your team will win, because he will either take all towers or force the enemy to deal with him a la singed, as nobody can 1v1 him. While behind, he's useless apart from blinding the enemy AD carry and then instantly dying.

Only Play Darius1 votes

He dominates most melee toplaners in lane

I think at least a small update on his kit overall sounds good. There was this thread where the OP listed well-thought out changes to his kit and my favourite was a change to his R.

I believe it was something like "Teemo would be able to hop on his mushrooms, giving him a bit of movement speed". If only I could find that thread because there were awesome ideas.

As for what Teemo is, a good Teemo is able to shutdown his opposing laner, especially in top and just put a ton of pressure in that lane. By carefully and strategically planting his shrooms in choke-points in the bushes and paths leading into toplane, he's able to escape ~80% of the time. He's relatively good at annoying enemy ADCs with one Q, which allows your ADC to hopefully out-damage them at least for 2 seconds, etc.

While he isn't strong, he isn't particularly weak. Just needs a small update to his kit and I think he'd be fine.
