Just Thought of the Coolest update for Morde's Ult

  • The Ult would be a relatively small AoE AP damage nuke at a target location within 600 units of Morde after a .6 delay.

  • If a Champion is hit, they are cursed for 4 seconds. Champions that die while cursed become enslaved by Morde

  • While Morde's Ult is on CD, he can choose to command one of the enemy enslaved champions by pressing R again (Think Yorick´s Q).

  • Morde summons an enemy champion at target location. He can use all the champion's abilities except ult and gets adaptive stats based on Morde's AP depending on what the enemy champion is building (tank,AS, AD, AP). If Morde uses R again the enemy champ explodes after .6 seconds dealing AoE damage around it

*Note 1: Morde chooses which champion to summon with the same passive menu that Kindred has

_*Note2: While controlling the champion, Morde becomes rooted, immune to CC and gets damage reduction based on ult rank. The champion enslaved can't stray too far off Morde (1400 units). _

_*Note 3: Morde can control the champ for 20 seconds but takes a portion of the damage the enslaved champion takes _

  • Morde can still enslave Dragon, but it gets the same AI as the Maiden of the Mist (Yorick´s Ult). You can have an ensalved champion and Dragon up at the same time

Hell yeah man, I hope that whenever they change Morde his ultimate stays on his kit in one form. I was actually thinking the other day how cool it would be to collect passively collect champion souls on takedown and a little bar comes up like Ornn or Kindred and you can select which champion from your pool of souls you have collected to summon. That would mean if you use your ult on a tank or melee champ it won't be a waste like now and you could also do some tricky stuff. Would be cool if his dead allies could control the ghost too or something, idk man. I'm hyped for that update when it comes out in 2035

Yeah, the Ult is definitely cool. The problem now it is only good on ADCs, but with some improvements, it could be super awesome

I don't really like this, mostly because it just introduces too much micro managing for a single champion. Plus I play Morde for Morde, not for an over glorified Ghost.

He's about Enslavement, subjecting people to his will to dominate, him just assuming control over a champion and rooting himself in place isn't a very Morde thing to do.

Well his current ult already requires micromanagement and I personally think controlling champs is a really cool ability. However you can't obviously control two full-fledged characters at the same time-- Hence the root and CC immunity. I can see an argument for the ability I am proposing being too harsh on newer players tho, given they probably don't know what all champs do/ how to play them

See, it also introduces too much of a feast/famine concept where Morde's success relies more on the player knowing how to play 136 champions other than Morde to really succeed with him.

There's a reason Morde doesn't get to use his slave's abilities. This change would completely break him for pro play and make him sub par for everyone who doesn't really want to invest time in learning other champions.
