Is it me or is exhaust a really toxic spell?
Making a champion COMPLETELY useless instantly with no counterplay on the recieving end? hmm dunno

Is it just me or does nobody know what the word "toxic" means?
Its being used correctly here.
It makes the game objectively worse from a balance AND enjoyment standpoint when there is a single exhaust on either side. This becomes even worse when there is more than one.
relax janna has the best peel but she also needs exhaust.
whats it like to be a melee that has to flash in to do damage late game you say and still get negated completely with a point and click ?
feels awesome and rewarding.
caitlyn players however have it real rough when no one can touch them.
yeh. i love when i try to do anything as melee champion like making a perfect flash play with a riven rengar Yas or darius only for a dude to press F and make me completely useless.
It doesn't make champions completely useless.
actually it makes most ad melees useless.
Looking at the roster I was unable to find any ad melees who would be completely useless when exhausted.
what in the FUCK lol....

retard alert.
Reneketon still is tanky while doing some damage and has cc. Riven has a ton of cc, can sustain, still outputs damage. Yasuo still has a knock up, windfall, shield to tank a bit, still good damage output. Zed can still do a lot of damage, go untargetable, and poke. Tryndamere can still slow, do a lot of damage, and tank for 5 seconds. Darius can still tank, do damage and get his stacks built up for ult, still can pull. Aatrox still can slow, knock up, and sustain through fights.
Just because someone debuffs you and you can't one shot someone, it doesn't make you useless. It just means you need to readjust your strategy for 2.5 seconds.
1 shot someone?
u mean DO any damage.

Reneketon still is tanky while doing some damage and has cc.
Renekton is not particularly tanky late game, an ADC will shred through him like he's made of toilet paper. He does practically no damage while exhausted, and he won't be able to get close enough to use his CC because he's exhausted.
Riven has a ton of cc, can sustain, still outputs damage.
Riven has two short CC abilities (that she won't be able to use because she's exhausted), can't sustain if she isn't dealing damage (because she was exhausted you see), and won't be outputting any damage.
Yasuo still has a knock up, windfall, shield to tank a bit, still good damage output.
Yasuo will blow up if he is exhausted and on the ADC, they will face tank his damage and as long as they know how to step forward when he uses wind wall they will kill him.
Zed can still do a lot of damage, go untargetable, and poke.
Zed can do almost no damage while exhausted. Zed has to ult to go in almost all of the time, and if his ult does not kill the ADC he is now almost useless for the rest of the fight. It probably won't even half health the ADC considering lifesteal and all the shields being applied to them.
Tryndamere can still slow, do a lot of damage, and tank for 5 seconds.
Tryndamere's slow only works if people are running away, and why would they be running from a champion who was made useless by pressing F?
Tryndamere's autos will be doing 60% of their damage and be much slower. He will be doing no damage.
Darius can still tank, do damage and get his stacks built up for ult, still can pull.
LOL Darius is already one of the slowest champions in the game, he won't be stacking shit for his ult.
Aatrox still can slow, knock up, and sustain through fights.
No, Aatrox will just be even more useless. He needs attack speed to sustain in fights. What does exhaust lower? Oh right! Attack speed!
Just because someone debuffs you and you can't one shot someone, it doesn't make you useless. It just means you need to readjust your strategy for 2.5 seconds.
There is a reason you are bronze three with a negative win rate my friend.
Oh, now I see your point. I forgot that exhaust also stuns, silences, applies grevious wounds, makes you take 99% true damage, and reduces your damage dealt by 100%. You're level 7, so maybe unlock all the summoner spells first.

With the slightest amount of deductive reasoning you might have been able to ascertain this isn't my main.

This is.
But go on, try to argue that Aatrox can still contribute in team fights when he's exhausted, when he can barely contribute at base lol.
Damn, you right. Sure you're unranked, was silver like me last season despite playing in season 5 before I even started, but hey, I got bronze 3 in my placements so I must not know anything about the game.
And that says somethings wrong with aatrox, not exhaust. Yes, exhaust will mess you up and ruin a fight for you. But make you completely useless? Nah. Knock ups make you completely useless, not exhaust
It makes anything that isn't a tank/support useless.
It just cucks melee even harder because they have to invest so much more in order to get in range to deal damage.
Cleanse removes it and you can just disengage for 2.5 seconds until it's gone, and quicksilver items will remove the slow at least (not sure about the other parts)
cleanse over tp as a top laner haha xD
Just do the other options I suggested if you're a top laner?
cleance? only time i've played with cleance in the last 2 years is because of Ahri and Irelia when i play Riven. it's a rather bad spell tbch. And i dont think sacrificing tp for cleance is worth it just because exhaust is WAY too good.
If cleanse counters it how is it not worth taking? There are plenty of ways to work around exhaust but you just reject them all and keep banging your head against a wall saying it's too good
because if u take cleanse over tp you're going to get camped and you will fall behind 4 levels without touching a single creep.
also your bot lane is going to get dicked by the enemy top laner and i wont be able to help or show presence with tp.
If you're a top laner that is complaining about exhaust then I assume it's because the enemy top laner has exhaust? If that's true then why can't your jungler camp them or use your tp and go bot lane? If you're talking about anyone else having exhaust how does it affect you as a top laner?
no its because late game you're shut down in teamfights. early game need to help bot lane and late game enemy bot support makes me useless.
If their support is wasting exhaust on you then that's good because your mid and adc can just win team fights for you
lol?
i dont think u understand hwo exhaust works.
basically if im the carry im going to be focused and exhausted so im dealing no damage.
so if u have a shitter for an adc going 2-10 u wont care if hes able to do damage
I understand perfectly well how exhaust works, I just didn't realize you only were referring to an uncommon scenario where you are the only significant source of damage for your team as the top laner, in which case it doesn't matter if the enemy has exhaust or not you're still in a shitty situation.

It's not uncommon at all. The most common top laners are melee carry top laners who are badly shut down in team fights by exhaust.
No one is going to waste their exhaust on Lux or Orianna, the most popular mid laners, and unless heavily snowballed Lee Sin or even Vi don't usually warrant it.
Occasionally the ADC might be exhausted, but usually they are long-range enough that there won't be much opportunity for it, so it's only really effective against Vayne and kind of Twitch.
But it's not just top laners, you're missing the point. Any melee assassin or carry champion, be they top, mid, or jungle, gets shut down disproportionately hard by exhaust.

You don't actually play this game, do you?
Yes?
Yes?
Then one assumes you would be aware that top laners do occasionally leave top lane, and as such would be affected by exhaust, right?
Yes, obviously. But most top laners don't go bot lane so frequently that exhaust is really going to be an issue
Janna and exhaust needs to be nerfed
Still don't know why getting exhausted makes your resistances worse.
It makes champions completely useless.
But at the same time it prevents them from being completely broken.
All Sumoners are - that why they have ages long CDs.
No, those skilled support mains that insist they're the real carries need that fail-safe after they miss every stun.
After all, they had Exhaust; why did you expect to be able to assassinate someone?
