Riot, I get it, a lot of the time people don't know what they want.

But gosh darn it each time you've even brought up the possibility that solo queue isn't coming out you've been hit with MASSIVE backlash. Your own thread was down voted into the depths of hell within MINUTES. You've got PRO PLAYERS. PRO PLAYERS. THE PEOPLE WHO PUT YOUR GAME ON THE MAP. Asking for solo queue.

Now I understand, I work for local government, I get how stupid your average person can be. I bet you guys are so desensitized to complaining, "nerf x threads", and "rito plz" because you'd basically HAVE to be to not go insane. Being able to shrug off unwarranted criticism/the random seething hatred of the internet is one of the most important skills a game dev or dev team can have in the modern world.

But you're about to reach a tipping point. The same thing happened to WoW. The devs got cocky. When you grow so used to ignoring dissenting opinion, it becomes incredible easy to ignore CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM. The WoW team decided that they knew what was best for their game, the player base be damned, and do you know what happened? Over 5 million subs. Gone. In 3 months. It got so bad that if you unsub from WoW now, they want you to talk to a GM, WHO WILL TRY TO TALK YOU OUT OF UNSUBBING. Now they have to pull out all the stops in Legion, which is the most obvious "hail mary" I've ever seen, in order to stop the bleeding.

WoW was supposed to be invincible. It survived dozens of "WoW Killers", it even looked like it might thrive in the now MOBA centered industry.

Until It got gimped from within.

Don't let that happen to League riot. I've disagreed with your decisions in the past, I've been one of the protestors against the heartless retcons, and the feral flare corpse you keep shoving around.

But I always thought in my heart of hearts you wouldn't do something that could potentially hurt your own work.

Now maybe I'm just being paranoid. Maybe it is a technical problem. Maybe this will all blow over in a couple of months, and me and the rest of the worry-warts will put on our respective Hats of Shame.

But I'd be filled with regret if I didn't at least say SOMETHING.
