Unnoticed consequence of the New Jungle
I don't know about you, but I kinda feel bad about new players who want to explore the Jungle. As of now, even with Armor Runes, many champions get their butts kicked in the Season 5 Jungle. We've heard over and over again how this limits Champion diversity as this Jungle favors Junglers who have good sustain. However, I think we should also stand up for new players who want to explore the Jungle.
If Junglers with Tier-3 Runes are getting their butts kicked, then that means new players will most likely not be able to take their second camp without dying, even with the greatest leash from their teammates. While it is true that Jungling by itself is complex, I don't think it's right for a new player's experience to not be able to Jungle because they do not have the level requirements or IP to purchase Tier-3 Runes. It's just not fun for a new player to be executed 3 times in a row, having to go leech xp from Top Lane, and then humiliate himself because he wanted to try out a new role.
What makes it even worse is that at a certain Account Level, about Level 10-20, players are in a limbo where the team will either report for a duo top lane or report for getting pwned by the Jungle creeps over and over. Add the chaos of role-picking in Blind Pick, and who knows what will happen...
Anyway, back in Season 1 and Season 2, there was a sustainable Jungle path which new players can take if they do not have the proper Tier-3 Runes. This at least allowed new players to try out the Jungle and find out whether they would like to play this role or not. While it may potentially render the Jungle too easy, a path in which new players can take will certainly bolster their experience with the game, and in order to add more difficulty back in the game, Riot could easily compensate by making some of the camps really strong, like Blue Buff and Red Buff or Gromp and Krugs while keeping the rest of the camps accessible to everyone.
I know this is quite a niche reason to change the Jungle, but I really think we should at least look out for players who recently started. We were all there, and some of us veteran Junglers remember getting our butts kicked by the Wraith camp.
Now, as a bad joke:
