I Main Swain2 votesI think you misunderstood his comment. unless im mistaken, he isn't referring to flat out trash talk, but teasing and messing around. personally, I have matches all the time where it's a completely 1 way game, even ones where I had 3 people dc, but when you stop taking the game super seriously and just have fun, you end up enjoying the game quite a bit. all it takes is the right attitude. now granted, some comments shouldn't be made joking or not (half because there is sadly no such thing as a sarcasm font), but there's no harm in just joking around with the enemy team, ESPECIALLY if some of those jokes are at your own expense.

But when I am losing a ranked game because of something out of my control (AFK's, trolls, intentional feeders) I am already enraged, and anything the enemy says to me that sounds the slightest bit taunting is going to set me off.

Trash talk is rubbing your victory in your opponent's face. It's saying "GG, ez" at the end of a match and does not belong in any kind of competitive event.
Friendly banter is making jokes with your opponent, making light of what, at the end of the day, really is just a video game. It's making fun of your own mistakes just as much as your opponents, and can turn a really shitty experience into a fun time for everyone. Because that's what this is all about, isn't it? Just relaxing and having fun with people in a game we all love.

I don't think the right word you were looking for was Trash Talking, but more of a comment that leads towards a Competitive Gesture. Not something to put them down.
Lots of times, I will call people an asshole, but because they did something good. Like if a fed Nidalee hit me from max range and I died or lost a ton of my health, I would say "You asshole xD". Of course, the emoticon makes it all better ;)

the interaction is healthy people who stomp get abit more out of that than just free ip for those that dont enjoy 2 shotting the other team, you can have all sorts of other fun people who are stomped vent out feelings not through malice toward each other but in a joking sort of malice toward the other team. The game ends uplifting, it was a fun game rather than a bad game
the mood is just too good ;o sadly, you will never get there if everyone on the rift is silent someone has to instigate it, usually through trash talk and that's totally a risk I'm willing to take, on one hand everyone will hate me.. dont care i'l; just mute on the other hand, the games 20x more fun when it pays off

If I try to give someone advice on stuff like last hitting and build and they get bitchy because "I don't need advice from a level 5" I will link my plat account. Otherwise... yeah... no one gives a shit if you are smurfing or not.
Try to communicate with your team so that everyone gets something they are comfortable with > blindly following pick order. I have given up my best role so that someone else could have their's even though I was higher pick. I can play any role decently but I prefer jungle. If Jungle and mid is left and I pick first and the other player says they can't play mid well I should take it. Teamwork > Pick Order.
You can always learn from playing against or with a smurf. If you aren't improving that is your fault. Not the smurf's.
I smurf because there is no meta at low levels and I want to play what is fun instead of what is strong. You have no right to tell someone how to play their game.
Why is this exclusive for smurfs? How about don't talk shit in general?

Then I just link my LoLKing after the game or tell them to look at the smurf account's ranked stats and that's as far as it goes. They only have to look at my 75% win rate on that account (the smurf account) to know that I'm clearly of a higher skill bracket than them.

Orders3 votesThe whole idea of smurfing seems very unethical. People are making accounts just so they can have an easy time farming off new players? Doesn't seem like the best reason to make a smurf. I understand making new accounts if you're moving to a new region or something but there's hardly any legitimate reason to make a smurf without making you sound like an ass. If you want to learn a new champ then try bot games or suck it up because don't expect to automatically win with champs that you have not completely mastered. Losing is just apart of competition.
I don't expect people to be very ethical on the internet, though.

- I don't care whether someone is smurfing or not. Nothing is different for me, and I will pick/ban and play no different than I would otherwise.
- I will pick/ban the same champs I would normally, and I don't give a fk if you think Nid is op. Nobody plays her in S4.
- I couldn't agree more with this. I hate games where 1 person dominates or loses the game singlehandedly.
- If they're smurfing to smash low elo players, I'll just split push usually to avoid being part of the arrogance and insecurity.

We didn't want him to go mid, but he was second pick... so he kind of just made us put him mid. Third pick then locked in with ignite and said "mid."
So he later switched to ad fizz jg, and said Fine i'll jg. Everyone continued to trash talk him while saying sarcastic comments like "Ooh shit, gg, Faker didn't get a carry role."
Fizz got a penta that game and we ended victorious because of it. Sure we might've set him up a bit for the last one, but it was a 5v4, he was there the whole time, and i think he doesn't deserve his 27% win rate.
Aids cuz League2 votesI don't like Pick Order in draft, it should be about team play, not who is a better rank(And by that I mean, Someone calls Pick Order Summoner 5 is like Peasant Rank, whereas Summoner 1 is like King Rank.) And ive actually had losses because people did Pick order, its how I lose all the time, they call Pick order, can't do a role, then blame the whole team.
