Tried Kled a couple times, and he is awkward as fuck to play

Like, I dunno what I'm doing wrong with him because so many people bitch and moan about him being "op", but he's just weird to use right and I feel like I have no time to do anything with his Mounted kit because by the time I Q someone and start attacking them to frenzy with W they've chunked my health down enough to dismount me. Which means suddenly the only way to get my good skills back is to attack the enemy laner while I have the approximate health and damage output of a jungle monster. And not one of the good ones that rewards a buff either.

Build more defensively. I would say you certainly should never build full AD on him. All of your bonus health gets added in to Skaarl's health, so if you build armor/mr and health, you have a giant amount of restorable health and you're not easy to kill.

So build the "1 damage item then full tank" style? The game I had just now, I built Black Cleaver and was starting to build Titanic Hydra when the enemy team surrendered. Should I have gone for a Sunfire Cape or a Deadman's instead as a second item?

I typically go Titanic Hydra, Black Cleaver, and Dead Man's Plate on him. Also, Frozen Mallet is good if you want the extra slow. but with how much stick potential he has I don't think it's necessary.

It's decent, but I don't think it's necessary with how easily Kled can stick without it. For dismounted, maybe.
