I think this this keystone was a giant mistake. This is the 4th time riot has gone WAY over board with the keystone masteries, first it was fervor, then it was thunderlords, then it was grasp of the undying and now this extremely bullshit keystone. This thing is disgustingly over powered and how in the world it got shipped to live in its current form blows my mind and It is easily abused on several champions. Strength of the ages atleast didnt let you start out a fight with a 1k life shield JUST because you used a cc on someone 300 bonus life =/= a 1-2k shield that you get for initiating a fight. I think it needs to be reverted or hot nerfed it is making the game extremely unfun to play right now.

Personally I think you're overreacting.

In a world full of burst and high DPS this keystone lets Vanguards and Wardens do their flipping job.

For 4 glorious seconds they can tank like they did in season 5.

The cooldown is long enough so it only procs once in a fight.

I think it also does well in ranged vs melee matchups. If they walk up to poke, i can use my CC to take some poke from not only the ranged champion, but from the minion wave as well until the next 30 seconds. Is it broken? I don't think it is a huge problem on anyone but champions that are tanky AND have sustain, like zac for example. But i DO think it's one of the stronger options in the resolve tree, and i believe it has done more good than bad.

Also Sion can run up to his ranged harasser with his ult and two shields, his and CotC's shield. Must feel nice.

Hey quick question. Do you think taking assassins top against ranged top laners is a good counter?

Have you seen cfhampions like poppy, vi, or hecarim using it? They get to one shot/combo someone and get a 2k shield to get out scott free. I am a poppy/hecarim jungle player and since it is the only keystone worth having on them i get to experience how over powered it is. I'm not pulling stuff out of my ass and calling it op because i lost to it.

Yes, I have seen it. No I don't think it's OP.

Why?

Because the enemy should have CC'd your butt when you dived into the middle of them. Their Warden/Support should have peeled for them.

Don't tell me it's impossible, I can't tell you how many frisky Hecarims I have stopped from killing my carries as Leona.

Plus, remember that this is 4 seconds and is on a cooldown long enough to not be used twice in a teamfight.

Think about S6, how many divers last long when they dive into the enemy team and blow everything on the carry? Not many. Vi with her built in shield can still get bursted down when she tries to do her job and kill the carry.

It is very possible you were facing players who didn't know what to do.

Somehow I doubt tanks will be making the most out of this mastery. I'm looking at bruisers that can actually output enough damage to dive in and kill someone while being protected by a giant shield for no reason at all.

Specifically, champions like Trundle (yes Pillar counts) Darius MonkeyKing Diana Hecarim Renekton Volibear , and, to a lesser extent, Aatrox Nocturne Irelia
