Why don't more people play AP Shaco top?

Just played vs an AP Shaco top. It's is literally an unwinnable lane. There is absolutely nothing you can do vs him in lane. I'd even go so far as to say, it's unfair. I'm curious, why isn't it played more. I can't see any good Shaco player ever losing lane playing him AP top.

I see no reason why any Shaco main in Silver or even Bronze can't get Diamond with this incredibly strong pick. You just auto win lane every game.

I'd do it myself if I didn't find Shaco unenjoyable to play.

cuz it's trash.

I love ap shacman, but it's just not worth playing. Most fighters are beefy enough to fuck you over and forget about beating a tank. The amount of work it takes compared to regular toplaners or jungle shaco is ridiculous.

Fiora is probably one of the few matchups i see him do pretty well in. You're quite squishy for most of laning phase and he can just fuck you over with his boxes.

if you're interested in playing it i'd try it vs the squishier fighters like fiora or yasuo, possibly jax but you're gonna have to bait out his dodge.

anyway i'm not a shaco main so things might have changed.

Is it his boxes? You'd just need to buy pinks/sweepers to negate that. But it also depends on the champ you were playing against him.

Buy a early item 3364 and multipal pinks. If he doesn't get his box damage off on you he's pretty weak, the Sweeper and pinks will show him as well when he goes invis.

I'm gonna be the first to say it. You're probably Iron, I can't be arsed checking and you're %%%%%%ed, if anything Ap Shaco top is complete shit, if you lose your boxes you have nothing. Which is why I want an oracle change so I CAN play it more.

omg that makes it even worse, how tf did you not know that an Oracles and control ward literally activate and kill his boxes.i've met Bronze's that know there is such items cheap asf

Man you're really gullible. Do you just accept everything people tell you just like that? I'm Silver 4, ended the season Silver 3.

Also, I already answered in the thread why I don't want to get a sweeper:-

Giving up wards would make me incredibly vulnerable to ganks in Top lane. I can't see myself ever playing Top lane without wards. I'd have to constantly freeze outside my tower which is just not feasible since he can poke incredibly hard.

Getting sweepers means I die to jungle ganks instead of dying to Shaco. Top lane is impossible to play effectively if you cannot get vision in the river.

No one would gank a Shaco toplane just think about it Shaco will have nothing to kill you all his damage are in the boxes, boxes you have deleted with a no cost item and his slow will become relevant once he ended the E max but it will let him with a 1.5 second stealth on Q whitch is nothing so he become himself vulnerable to ganks except if he plays well with the clone but anyway he s wasting his ult to get away so you gank him again few seconds later and he s dead

I cannot tell if this is a shitpost joke or a legitimate viewpoint.

The answer if it's a shitpost, is well done. If it's serious, perhaps re-evaluating core priorities and laning patterns of top lane might suit a notice.

Because if there is an ap shaco top it's probably cause they've been playing that for years perfecting the craft. They know the weaknesses of there own kit and know the limitations against certain champs top thus adapting there playstyle. (this is coming from my own experience) Also a ward and a free trinket counters his W and Q. Also Straight AP is really dead for shaco you need at least 1 form of lethality or armor pen to utilize his E and backstab. Thus I've adapted and I call my Build AP Lethality Shaco.
