Grasp of the Undying changes on PBE are concerning...

Changed from [Deal bonus magic damage equal to 4% of your max health] to [Deal bonus adaptive damage equal to 3% of your max health]

Changed from [permanently increased your health by 5] to [grant you bonus adaptive Attack Damage or Ability Power based on your max health until exiting combat. This effect can stack.]

[Adaptive note added: Adaptive AD or AP is equal to 1% or 1.25% of your max health, respectively.]

Bruisers who will be building mostly health and resistances will now get free AD/AP. Meaning Tank/Bruiser meta is going to be hit harder than before, that is ofcourse if this change goes through.

Check out Youmuus new video featuring this change:

  • At 4 stacks he got 70 AD at 7 minutes into the game as long as he stayed in combat

  • At 6 stacks he had bonus 101 AD.

It says the effect can stack... does that mean you can potentially get up to 10% or more of your max HP in adaptive damage if you're in combat enough?

The maximum number of stacks is 99, although combat would have to last quite some time to reach it.

That's a really scary thought if that is the case.

Luckily it does take a long time to stack up to that number, so it will never hit 99 stacks in a live game. It uses the timing for the current Grasp, so you basically have to keep current grasp alive without dropping it once and hit an enemy champion 99 times.

Not saying 10-20 stacks isn't scary though.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how this works properly myself so I don't know man.

It can stack up to 99 times (although unlikely).

I've had a Cho Gath fight last long enough for him to get 15-20 stacks though.....

Most tanks will get 240 AD or 320 AP at most, but that's STILL huge.

Those look like great changes to me. However, I can already see Sion becoming an absolute raid boss with the new Grasp. He's going to go full tank and just wreck people.

I am more scared of shit like tank Ekko Yasuo Fizz making a return. Remember the whole tank assassin thing in season 6?

Changes were made to Ekkos heal meaning he wont be the problem he was... Yas n' Fizz tho... Reasons to worry there.
