Zeds Ultimate Needs A New Range or Different Mechanic

Zed should have to a least be in an an adc's auto attack range to actually kill them his range on his ult is ridiculous. Unless the adc has a sheilding support or a healer that can heal off zeds damage the adc gets instantly killed regardless of what the support does. Duskblade got buffed to have more lethality which makes him do even more damage. Out of all the assassins i've fought zed you cannot land a single hit on because he goes untargetable during his ultimate and then he can just teleport away out of auto attack range because his ult is super far range. Maybe if he had something like kayn where he had to actually mark a target before he ults them. Even in situations where the is a huge gap between me and zed he runs towards me shadows and his ult has such a large radius that he can ult and teleport away a mile back where he first run from without a single speck of damage done to him.

Other assassins you can at least damage or snare them. If a talon is invisible your support can throw and snare in the direction he is going and he has a predictable dash. You can dodge fizz ult. Even when kayn's ult you can run into your team and they can knock him around and keep him from finishing you off but zeds mark if no one can heal or shield you you are screwed with the double marks from his ult and duskblade. His ult has the same problem as old warwick its a point a click spell that is very strong and the opponent has no chance of counter play and with old warwick he would finish you off with an auto or two. With zed its the same thing except he teleports away. What more could I possibly do if there is a zed in the match and I am a mile away from him and my support cannot heal or shield me? Just give up?

His ult always drops him behind you. Time your CC for when that happens, and he can't do anything.

Zed ult range isn't that far actually, I would imagine that many adc's have auto range longer (Caitlyn, Tristana). The mistake everyone makes is when Zed ults you, they immediately flash away, into their team.

But by doing that, you make a further distance from the Zed and the shadow he leaves, which is what allows him to escape.

Also, what you're saying doesn't really make sense: if the Zed just presses R on you, then just goes back to his shadows, his ult will deal literally no damage. He needs to land those multiple Qs and Es, and he isn't invulnerable at that time: that's your window.

A good support will cc Zed when he pops out behind the adc, or will shield/heal them since it's predictable what he does next: after ulting zed will most likely follow up with a Q and E. Zed's ult itself is extremely weak on it's own, if you just press R on someone and don't do anything else it'll do no damage, it's the mark that pops is what you should fear. What you do when your support isn't there? Dodge his Q and E (It's really easy depending on the Zed player and your skill level) and buy item 3026. He's not going to be killing you without his ultimate, as an ADC you melt him late in like 3 hits, so if you revive after he ults he can't really do anything to you if you're playing smart. Keep in mind Zed is also weak when he has to use his W shadow to close the gap between you and him. If he uses it right away, you're already far away from that shadow and multiple Q's and E's won't hit.
