Why did Riot remove AP from Sheen?

I recently noticed that AP was removed from item 3057 i thought i was crazy but i looked into it and found out that they did remove AP from sheen. Why do this it is killing some builds especially early power spikes for several champs that rush tri force. Why nerf AP why not AD items?

They were moving TF more towards an AD/Caster type item. More Critical Strike (which synergizes better with Essence Reaver) and they removed the AP to help maintain its power budget. Lich Bane still works for true AP, but it does hurt TF's appeal to some Hybrid Champs.

Not saying I like the change, but that's the reasoning as I understand it.
