How do I lane against Nasus as Gangplank?

This isn't a complaint thread or a "Nasus is OP" thread.

I legitimately want tips on what I should be doing or any tricks I should be pulling off in order to zone Nasus away from farm.

Save your Remove Scurvy for his Wither. There isn't really any reason to use it beforehand (excluding jungler CC).

Parley or autoattack him when your passive is up and run into the bush immediately to drop minion aggro.

Ninja Tabi greatly reduce Nasus' damage since he (1) doesn't typically build armor penetration and (2) relies on autoattacks and Q for the majority of his damage.

Considering how reliant on attack speed the enemy team was, a Frozen Heart may have been a good purchase after Trinity Force (or Shiv) for CDR, durability, and the aura.

Place your barrels aggressively, either within your minions or in his. If he approaches the barrel to try and CS, blow it up and chunk him.

Nasus will typically rush Frozen Heart against AD opponents, so be sure to take advantage of the armor penetration on your barrels and your true damage.

Use your ultimate to pressure elsewhere on the map. Try to stay in lane against Nasus to prevent him from interfering with your team.

I would highly advise against building full damage. Nasus can easily chunk down opponents who only purchase offensive items in short trades.

I can't tell what item you started with, but I would recommend starting Doran's Blade and doing a jungle camp (or double jungle) at level one. This gives you an advantage in sustain and offensive stats which you may use to bully Nasus.

I started shiv for easy farming.

I was referring to the item you bought on your first purchase. Gangplank will typically start with Doran's Blade or Crystalline Flask, though Cloth Armor, Doran's Shield, and Long Sword are viable options.

Not the first completed item you finished.

Brawler's Gloves doesn't really give you any significant damage or sustain early. I would recommend starting with Crystalline Flask (if not doing a camp) or Doran's Blade (if doing a camp) at level 1.

In addition, I would recommend Trinity Force over Statikk Shiv as a rush item in this matchup. The early mobility, damage, and durability of Phage and/or the burst damage from Sheen would have help you bully Nasus early in the matchup, before he's really able to sustain through your harass.

Set barrels up in bushes and do the little trick to poke him. Nasus usually builds armor first so your barrels will be very helpful.

Every time you true damage is up hit him with it. Use barrels to zone him from farming. Poke him with Parrley. If possible use a trigger barrel in the bushes to blow up a barrel on him instantaneously while trying to farm.

The last time I faced one, he started with a Flask and health potions.

What should I start or rush to still stay a threat to him?
