Seriously? Malz is getting nerfed again....

No you know what, I'm not even surprised at this point. Malz is basically in the same spot of Azir and Kalista and even Mord a bit of being too good at one point and then just being nerfed to oblivion to a state of near unplayableness (is that a word?). We all know the answer at this point: he rework fucking failed! It is so ridiculous to see a champ get reworked into something that the mains and people who loved him didn't want and then just get nerfed out of lane and, possibly if these nerfs go through, the entire game.

And before anyone says "well then he should be reverted back", really answer this question: how was he better before? Seriously how was he better? He still did the same shit basically. The only difference that I can think back on was he had stronger space aids, had to land more of a combo on you when he ulted, and couldn't manually summon his minions. Even then I still feel like he played nearly the same as he does now. At this point I don't care if he gets reverted, all I care about is him getting a full VGU now and have Riot fix arguably one of their worst reworks of all time.

So I'm not the only one who thinks he needs a full VGU more than a revert.

Good to know.

an almost 50% win rate on malzahar was way too much for them. Definitely the biggest fish to fry.

Malzahar was my main at one point and one of my most played mages still. I disagree with this assertion. I liked the rework. Only people who didn't were the ones that got upset that his Ulti and E didnt do 90% of someones HP anymore, and thus required him to be more involved in his actual play pattern.

I agree as well. I loved his rework. But once they made the new minion mechanics and started nerfing him into oblivion I started disliking him. He felt so crappy to play with that minion rework and then it basically felt like the only use he had WAS support. It was no wonder he went to the support role when he couldn't clear waves efficiently when that was supposed to be one of the main things Malzahar did. His kit already seemed like it'd get rid of the downsides of a solo lane Malz with support, being made unable to clear waves just forced him there, and then Riot nerfed him again to the point where support was pretty much the only thing he would be able to do from then on.

I can concede to this. It really is disheartening. :/

What do you mean "nerfed out lane....and possibly the entire game"? They already gutted him the second week after his rework release when they realized they accidental let a third ap jungler on the rift. All he has left is lane

It wasn't the rework that failed. I actually enjoyed it...almost as much as the old Malzahar who was my main. I still main him after that rework.

** HOWEVER: ** That FCING 6.23 changes on his Voildings destroyed him as a mage to the point that he only became a "Press R" Support...and now that is getting nerf to hell as well.

At this point we might as well revert the rework. I'll miss release-reworked Malz, but I will not miss this post 6.23 mess that they are calling Malzahar now.
