Where exactly are people getting this "League is dying" information from?

I mean yea, the games changing. Recently it's been more of a mess then past seasons, but it's also had some really good features added in. I think it's fine to dislike the game, but to say it's dying isn't even really a valid point when its still growing and hitting new peaks. I understand the balance of the game needs work, that's apparent. What isn't OK is to claim the game is dying when more new players join then leave. It's just a false statement and won't get the intended message across to Riot.

The queue timers in normals is fine to me. Additionally, you also have to factor in that around this time of year, schools and colleges are coming to a close. Graduations are in May. Final exams will be starting in both high schools and colleges towards mid-late April. There's probably not a lot of time for people to spend playing the game until they get a break from school and such. This would especially effect the higher queues, as pro level players tend to be high school/college age.

I think the whole ''League is dying'' bs is coming from YT. Since League videos in 2014-2016 were so excellent compared to todays''IMAQTIPIE STREAM HIGHLIGHT ONESHOT, WHAT IS THIS DAMAGE?!'' or ''PATCH 9.428948 WHAT IS OP?!''. Many league youtubers who used to make great league content have quit with league. Out of the top of my head: Dunkey, Trinimmortal, Sky, Keyori, Jaynewastaken, blakinola are those that have flat out quit league and were quite famous in 2015 and then there are youtubers like Magikarpusedfly who have stopped with their most succesful series, or youtubers like Gorsky or Darkmane who rarely make any content, yet alone league content. Of course this might be a bit of a nostalgia thing but I feel like innovative league youtubers are dying out. For every KBTV that is created, 6 other GOOD league channels have quit.

That doesn't mean the game is dying though - it just means that those players have moved on. Perhaps they've grown up and are doing other things with their time, perhaps they've gone to college or something - either way, a few social media stars that burn bright for a few years and then gutter out just as quick isn't a litmus test for the health of the game.

No sorry I didn't mean to argue against what you said, just that many people say ''league is dying'' because of youtubers like Dunkey.

i started around the end of season 3 and the first 3 seasons were fun, learning the game was so much fun and the game was flat out addicting, i would come home dying to que up, even at the time losing didnt bother me because back then i either didnt understand why we lost or i knew i could have done something better. now a days about 75% of the time its because of a fuck face that decides to feed their ass off, and i swear on my life when you are behind there is no coming back, but when you are winning the enemy team decides to play like their life is on the line and pull a miracle out of no where. riot made the game non solo carry which i understand but just makes the game rely less on personal skill imo due to making it very hard for a single person to carry compared to previous seasons. TLDR; league is no where as fun as it previously was imo and old players arent replaceable like new players are, in the long run league will only be filled with the players making money from streaming of playing professional or new noobs.
