I'm really losing my patience with how much time it wastes. It's my first Ranked season, started in Bronze I, nearly Gold now. I've had to attempt every single promotional series at LEAST 2 or 3 times.
These things are a forced waste of time. That's literally all they are. I don't feel good after winning them, I feel like I survived all the bullsh*t. I really don't think anyone enjoys these, but I'll ask.

Torkon16 votesIt's a horribly flawed system. Progression should feel smooth and fluid if possible. Instead it feels like steps forward then back. Often times the game requires that you win 4-5 games in a row almost to advance. It's frustrating and breeds toxicity. It makes people stressed out and rage.

This is why I stopped playing ranked. I enjoy LoL, but ranked is a frustrating mess of people who don't understand the fundamentals of the game or are just trolling.

I keep on getting people who has lost over win or horrible k.d.a being first pick and only banning the champion they get own by then auto locking in without even telling team or give the team time to talk about what champion we are going to use.
Hell SOME PEOPLE IN DIAMOND AND PLAT and this is just my opinion doesn't even have the skills to be there. Its all about luck and worst part is I can't carry because they will say (I ONLY PLAY TOP AND I CAN'T SUPPORT OR BOT/JUNGLE)<<<wtf are you for real? I understand if you are not skilled in it but when you are in platinum/gold I suspect you to have KNOWLEDGE of how to play all roles not just your main all the time.
This is just rank system is base on luck you either get carried or roll a dice and wish yourself lucky.
O ya and the stupid AFK even if a person d.c or doesn't connect AT ALL....we still lose LP which is beyond stupid and I would think Riot would be smart enough to fix it. << Don't pull out the Riot excuse of people abusing it. If they are duo then their partner lose LP no one else simple as that. BAM just destroyed Riot logic of ABUSING THE SYSTEM~!!~~~

Afks in ranked are the worst. You have to play 4v5 or get penalized for quitting too.

Baby Ghoul3 votesI don't want them to return next season, and I hope they don't bring them back. I started this season 2 months ago and made it to silver 2. However I've been losing almost all my promos since then. I had promos like 3 times in silver 2. I eventually went back down to silver 3, and now I'm in silver 4 again. It's really stressful and not fun. I dislike the whole system.
Each game I try really hard to play as a team, but I don't know what you can do when the ADC goes 0/9 by 10-15 minutes into the game. It seems like you're punished just as hard when your teammates do badly. If I do badly in a game, which happens to everyone from time to time, then it feels even worse because I know it effects my teammates just as much.

Why should i have to convince the game to let me into [insert division here], plus it was highly based on luck than actual skill. Some players would even search up other players match history, and personally fuck up their promos(It happened to me a couple of times). So no, i do not want promos in league.

SnakeDoctur2 votesSeems like every time I get into a promos, someone on my team checks my OP.GG and realizes this, and vows to intentionally throw the game to troll. Of course you cannot dodge, either, since it's a promo game!

I've said this SINCE SEASON 2: It is in Riots BEST INTERESTS FOR YOU TO LOSE GAMES. ESPECIALLY PROMOS. These "artificially created losses" simply force you to play more League of Legends to make up for them.

Shadow Gilgamesh2 votesKeep promos at the ends of ranks (EX: gold 1-plat 5) ditch them for moving up from 5 to 1. Also get rid of weighted LP gains/losses, it's stupid that you can get good and get up to gold or plat, then have to pull a 66% or higher win rate just to maintain because you were bad 6 months or more ago at the start of the season.

edit: oops misread that, for the actual question make decaying to lower tiers harder or impossible if they consistently earn re promotions.

Reaper Soraka1 votesWell the Victorious skin feels too much like a carrot-on-a-stick for players. Many people create a goal base on obtaining the Victorious Skin (myself included) rather than just becoming a better player. If we changed the Victorious skin to a win amount instead of this elo/mmr system, I think it would make climbing a less stressful task. People would climb not for a reward, but for their own personal achievement. I feel it would be a healthy change for players and the ranked games system.

Bergk1 votesI like the idea someone posted a while ago where you only need promos to enter a rank you've never achieved before. If you've been demoted or had the rank in a past season, promos shouldn't be required to return to your previous rank.
leafboom1 votesI managed to skip all promos on my way to gold v and i was placed in silver 3. At the moment, disregard the current elo system and just dodge all bad looking games in champ select, and duo with higher ranked friends. This will rocket your elo and make you get some stupid ass lp, like +36-40 lp per win, and -8 per loss. The only time you can do this is just after placements, so you gotta be careful with how you play ranked. The elo systems pretty fukt, and this seems to be the best possible way to climb.
Edit: If you're being trolled in your promos, just dodge. I know this sounds bad, but when you're in your promo series, you have a nearly high enough mmr, and dodging doesn't affect it. losing the promo will hurt your mmr bad.
