Stop looking at voice chat as a bad thing

You're not obligated to use it or listen to the people who are going to use it to be toxic; muting people / turning your voice audio off is ok, people will still ping.

Going against a team with 5 players with mics doesn't make them TSM either, it's just a clearer and quicker way to call.

Even if you have a mic and you're on a team with 4 other guys who have a mic and are the nicest people in the world, you still have a good chance at losing the game.

I play DOTA (I know) and CSGO and some of my favorite pugs and great people I have met have came from fun enjoyable people that I talked to via voice chat. It's going to have bad people, but we're faced with bad people everyday already and we'll handle these people the same as we do already mute and move on. Please don't write off this great feature without it being out yet.

people will still ping.

That's where I disagree with you.

If everyone still pings then yes, it'll be fine. However, experience with premades (my own and others) and new players who start playing with voice chat instead of pings says that there will be a noticeable drop in the ping usage. It takes a very conscious effort to keep pinging when you have voice chat available.

I mean I don't play much league anymore, but even when I have full voice teams in DOTA people still ping danger areas or calling missing enemies regardless of having mics or not.

People will still ping dangerous areas and mias which are what most people look for nowadays.

How many games without voice chat have you played? Do you have anyone in your main group that has only played with the whole team?

I've seen new players who pretty much only played with friends in voice chat, they rarely ping. There were those of us in the group that made a conscious effort to ping, but what happens when you can just assume everyone's on voice chat with you? Pinging will decrease.

4k+ Sr games lol, no we've all played alone when no one is on, we just know how import the combination of voice n pings.

I'm not saying voice is perfect or doesn't have downfalls, but it is good f9r the game.

Everyone keeps acting like it will kill the game when it's nothing bad.

Even if people did use it, do people really think people are going to listen? LOL nope, you can yell at them curse at them they still wont listen. They dont in chat and they wont with voice, people like to be rebels and do their own thing.

Some people are like that, but some aren't and want to work together to win. Still doesn't mean don't add this feature.

It really just depends on how it will be moderated in the case of abuse. Something people forget is typing something out and actually saying it aren't the same. What some people type in chat wouldn't really be something they would say verbally. Although when there are people that would still say such things verbally Riot has to be fairly strict as actually listening to someone talking like that can be worse. I would prefer to see how they plan on handling things before commenting on whether it's good or bad.
