Can we talk about making LP gains/loss performance based?
Say you go 9/3/7 250 cs in a 32 minute game and have put down a reasonable amount of wards, but you lose this game.
On the other hand, your ADC or your top lane go 4/13/5 167 cs in those 32 minutes without many wards placed.
Why should the person who did well this game, be punished because of bad teammates?
I'm not saying that the person that did good shouldn't lose any LP, I'm saying they shouldn't lose as much. Instead of per say, if they were going to lose 20 LP, due to there good performance in the game, they only lost 15 LP.
This rewards good players that are unlucky, some good players are stuck for periods of time at an elo they don't belong in, why? Because there teammates do things that are out of there control. Yes, there are a lot of games that can be solo carried, and there are a lot of things that you can do yourself to up the chances of you winning the game, but, there are a percentage of games where you can't do anything more, and your team is at fault. For some people, this percentage of games happens often, and puts them in losing streaks, and makes them get demoted.
Why not give the good player a break?
I know there was someone on the boards that posted a video of a well known Diamond 3 player that is also in favor of a performance based system.
For myself, I was Diamond 5 89 LP a couple weeks ago, I was so happy when I finally got to a decent level of play, and I was doing great at that elo. Then I started to hit those bad teams, no matter what I did, my teammates would make 2 wrong decisions for every 1 right one I made. I tilted myself down, and combined with more unfortunate events in games, I'm sitting at Platinum 4 with terrible MMR. Did I deserve to lose all of that LP? Yeah, some of it I did deserve to lose as some of those games were my fault, but what about the ones that weren't? Why am I being punished in Solo Queue for having a good performance while my teammates didn't?
