Patch 8:19 made it clear for me that Meddler is the actual problem instead of Ghostcrawler

2-3 months ago Ghostcrawler announced he was being replaced by Meddler as the lead director and he himself was moving over to another department. It was a logical change of positions because Meddler was already involved in the day to day changes and balancing the game way more than Ghostcrawler. Ghostcrawler only helped out in setting a course for the general direction of the game but he wasn't the only voice in this. Ghostcrawler's main problem is that he said a lof of dumb shit which made him lose a lot of credibility and thus an easy scapegoat whenever something was wrong with League.

Meddler was lead gameplay designer. However what has Meddler actually accomplished the past 2 years? Nobody liked season 7 ardent censer meta and the 'point and rightlclick' burst per second meta which lasted way too many months. Again nothing was changed sooner to not interfere with the pro players preparations for Worlds as Meddler said. Nobody is liking the current season and complete lack of balance and again all the focus is on pro play. Patch 8:19 is the proof in the pudding. For several patches now the balance team has ignored the obvious problems and instead created more by arbitrarily buffing champs with an already 50% winrate. Game balance has never been this bad and all because of twitch viewership like he acknowledged in his Quick Gameplay Thoughts: September 12. Ghostcrawler is not around any more to blame him.

A single person is not responsible for everything wrong with this game. But whatever makes you feel better I guess

but wouldnt it be the decision of the lead director when to change or nor to change the game?

as far as i understand it would have been in ghostcrawlers decision to say not to change the state of the game too much when worlds are coming up, while meddler and the rest of the live balance team would be responsible for the details of the changes theyre allowed to make.

the lead director would tell them how much they could change, and when to make or not to make another class update, while the design/balance team works out the content of those updates.

or did i misunderstand something here?
