Hey can we fix placement and match making?

I am silver 1. I just had a game with a unranked caitlyn who is completely garbage and lead to our defeat. I checked her match history, that game was her last placement and she got placed Silver V, with 1 win and 9 losses. So here comes the problem:

  1. Why was a unranked player with 1/8 in her placement able to be matched with/against silver 1 players?
  2. How does 1/9 in placement get you silver V?
  3. Why is the rest of my team, even with the 1/8 unranked player in the team, have lower rank than enemy team?

Rito pls fix this complete bullshit, I don't see the fun in playing support when you give me fresh lv30 1/8 unranked player as my adc.

I came here to say that the Cait was probably ranked in gold or something a prior season.

But she was a fresh 30 created this season...

Well played Rito, thats just a fantastic system that a player with bronze 5 individual skill metrics now gets to ruin hundreds of games on her way down to her correct ranking. Well done. Just fantastic job.

Sorry OP, Rito sucks mate. Busted system is busted. Bad luck brah.

I guess all we can hope for is that rito will fix it in season 7.

I been trying to get em to fix that kind of crap since season 2.

I even invented Champion Mastery to assist in more quickly and more accurately placing accounts by taking into account individual skill metrics.

Riot has ignored me for 5 years mate.

But yah, we can hope man, we can hope.

Rito had realized their mistakes and they are gonna bring back solo queue, while they said solo queue would never return, so I guess miracle can happen, sometimes.

Rito had realized their mistakes and they are gonna bring back solo queue, while they said solo queue would never return, so I guess miracle can happen, sometimes.

The miracle would have been them listening to us when we posted back in December that DQ was going to cause massive instability on the ladder, a significantly decreased quality in terms of gaming experience for solo player, and whole hosts of professionals to stop even playing on the ladder. I mean, we said all this would happen in DECEMBER before it was even implemented.

Riot went ahead with it anyways.

Until they realized they lost probably 5 million players this season and made half as much as they did last season in revenue, and with all the professional and high level players speaking out vehemently about how badly DQ was degrading the game Rito assuming they were going to lose even more players and even more money.

Thats not a miracle really.

Rito deciding to give solo Q back to diamond and up already (its already implemented FYI) is merely self preservation. Riot realized this blunder had cost them 100s of millions of dollars. And would potentially cost them Billions more down the line. It was own up to the mistake, finally, or go down in flames. Choosing not to commit suicide isn't a miracle. That's just common sense.

The REAL question is why didn't he have the foresight to op.gg her while IN LOBBY to KNOW she was 1-8, fresh to ranked, 100% auto loss material and just dodge that match.

You should be op.gging every teammate, every lobby, every time. There is a wealth of information available to you from third party web sites. Use that stuff and put yourself and your team in the best position to win by communicating effectively what you see from op.gg about what is best for everyone to do that match.
