Why is DFG getting removed instead of Zhonyas

Its 100 times more cancerous and frustrating to play against. I would rather see Zhonyas gone over DFG any day.

Cause dfg causes 100 to 0 and zhonyas is the only legitimate ap item that counters ad assassin's in lane.

You do realize that ap mid's do take things like heal exhaust and barrier but the g still buy zhonyas. Want to know why? Because they need to survive poke and laning against someone like a zed is almost impossible unless you have armor. So yea, there are sums but they aren't always up.

zhonyas allows for so much strategic play too with builds and is expensive and slows down things like deathcap/void staff etc if you have to get it early against assassins. lots of champs need it as part of their kit like fizz and tf for example and there is an element of skill to it when knowing when or how to use it like with tf using destiny to gold card and then zhonyas to stall and wait for team and cds. it provides a lot more options in a game than dfg does when u can just 100 to 0 people with 1 combo which is rly dumb. and i hope most mids dont take ignite all the time cuz usually there are better choices i agree there but it sometimes isnt enough. It also is nice having a hybrid tank-ish item with AP on it as well since having to wait for a defensive item plus every damaging item can take a long time so this gives a nice balance and is essential on many champions where as dfg is not as essential. it's just better for the game since it's used many different ways

Herm... actualy zonyha burst up counterplay to some champs. Especialy burst AP assassins. OH I'm gonna die. Zonyha. CD come back burst some one else. When people build them in a AD assassin (talon, and yeah, believe me it's diamond) because it's better than QSS, you know something is really wrong.
