Is is because Darius too similar to Garen as far as role goes, but just better?
Or is Darius just better in pro play and Garen better in solo queue? I wonder.

Unlucky Number72 votesi think it's because Darius has a higher skill ceiling with a higher payoff. Garen has a lower skill floor but isn't as impactful as a master tier Darius, not that we've seen many master tier Darius.
also Garen was picked in pro play. I think it was in the EU summer or spring split.

Their success often lies around hard cc or a lulu in the midlane.
