To my fellow Bronze..
In the past few days, I have been promoted to a series from Bronze 3 to Bronze 2, 4 times. In each of my first 3, I went W-L-Troll game. Very frustrating, but after each series lost, I would win and get another series. I'm doing my best to stay positive with all the series lost and demotions from getting bad teams or losing my focus and playing on. I firmly believe I can make it to Gold this season, and the only way to do that is to push through the bullshit, stay calm and play well.
After poking around on threads a lot, and paying attention to what many higher elo people have said to help myself get out of Bronze, one of the most important things (other than CS) I have found is compliments. I had a game the where my bot lane wasn't doing well early, and they kept fighting with each other. So I started roaming from mid a bit and helped them get caught up, and each time they did something well, give them a bit of praise. We saw the game go from a landslide loss to a fairly close and exciting game. Although we lost in the end, the positive attitude I was trying to portray actually helped my team catch up.
My message to other Bronze players is that if you truly feel like you're good enough to get out of Bronze like I do, shot call and keep the attitudes in check on your team. If you're constantly winning your lanes, then make smart roams and push towers with your teammates. I used to think that just getting an absurd amount of kills would win us games, but that's far from it. CS well, freeze lanes, snowball, know when to roam and push objectives is helping my game improve greatly. I know I am not the spokesperson for this, being Bronze and all, but I definitely think there's some positives that have come from my play recently that I wanted to share with others.
