Friendly reminder that lee sin's ult does 1000 (+21% HP) Late game with only 200 bonus AD.

But swain's easy-as-fuck to dodge snare is an issue.

Only 200 bonus AD?

I mean, yeah that's still an assload of damage, but that's like at least three or four damage items?

Eh, whatever, still a metric assload of damage.

item 3812 item 3072 item 3071 item 3748 item 3047 item 3742 Common lee sin builds in silver. Thats at least 300 bonus ad counting runes.

YCitizenSnipsY20 votes

Wouldn't having no magic resist and little armor from that build get a lee sin blown up by the point in the game where people have 6 items and damage dealers are hitting in the thousands?

Diggy Hole Dwarf1 votes

do you need to tank when you can do this kind of nuke on the whole ennemy team while knocking them up? Nope, don't think so! It's the same thing as saying that talon needs to be tanky or else he won't be able to do his job, wrong answer.

Anidan1 votes

In Lee's case, since getting to pull that damage off can be situational: yes. He either blows people up, or he gets to actually live his teamfight encounters.

That's unlike Talon where Talon's damage is far less situational and more reliable, meaning he doesn't need to be tanky to be reliable.

Diggy Hole Dwarf1 votes

What Talon gets in reliability, Lee gets it in tanking, damage, mobility, cc and utility. Quite the fair trade

Anidan1 votes

Reliability is extremely powerful.

You know who else is extremely reliable and has been complained about as a direct result of it? Annie

YCitizenSnipsY2 votes

But talons is an assassin who has to build glass cannon, and his burst is from stealth with no warning. You will see Lee Sin coming a mile away and have plenty of time to react.

LankPants26 votes

Try item 1400 item 2045 item 3742 item 3156 item 3748 + boots

That's a more realistic build, it is worth noting however that the items give 165 AD, meaning with runes you approach the 200 mark. In some games you may be able to sub out a defensive item for something like item 3072 , item 3812 or even a item 3053 you will break 200, but that's not going to happen every game.

His ult damage is still absurd though. I swear it actually comes close to the damage of things like Syndra ult and Veigar ult at around the 20-30 minute point, which is ridicules considering those ults are purely single target damage while Lee's is potentially an AOE disable in addition to being a huge single target nuke with the potential to be an even bigger AOE nuke.

hi im alphonse21 votes

Dont count Sterak's, base AD wont buff his kick damage, so if you get it youre only getting the sheild

Diggy Hole Dwarf1 votes

The AD given by sterak's scales on base AD, true. How does it mean that the AD given by the item isn't bonus AD? You DO get bonus AD from sterak's!

Battlecast Sona5 votes

yeah, Sterak's is strong because it actually INCREASES your base damage (the AD from it doesn't count as bonus AD). This means it will increase the damage of things like spellblade procs (which normal bonus AD would not).

3TWarrior2 votes

you could forego sightstone for another defensive item by getting the tracker upgrade on your warrior enchantment

it loses a few wards but you will still have 3 wards at most times

LankPants1 votes

You also lose the smite, which is actually quite valuable.

There's a lot of tradeoffs even with that though.

Ruby gives decent stats now. 500 HP is not bad. Taking red smite Ruby gives you more defence than any single item realistically could in a duel due to the red smite damage reduction.

You also get two times as many wards with Ruby than you do with Trackers. To me this is the big tradeoff. Two wards per back really isn't enough. In order to keep three wards out you need to back once every 75 seconds. With Ruby you back once every 150 seconds and have a spare ward to jump to.

Friendly reminder your stupid circlejerk sheep threads without any content won't accomplish anything. Lee Sins Damage isn't a problem, his mobility is.

Wyrmblade9 votes

I think Lee sin's mobility is why people like to play him. Instead of nerfing it and pissing a bunch of people off, it'd be better if he had a hit and run playstyle that focuses more on diving in and out of a fight than the crazy single target burst and cc combo he has now. It's the same problem with riven and vayne, mobility, CC and burst damage all on the same kit is a really hard to balance combo.

Slamurai Jack13 votes

Friendly reminder that it only does that extra damage if you kick your target into someone, and the original target takes no extra damage no matter what.

It isn't the boards if there isn't a thread complaining about lee sin.

Pshh, with "only" 200 bonus AD Katarina's ult does 1500 damage, how OP is that?

Or Morde's Q, not even an ult, does 2484 damage! (At level 18)

Only Play Darius9 votes

Do you know how much 200 AD is? That's almost 3xitem 3072 , if you think LeeSin can get away with a build that squishy in team fights then you certainly have never played Lee.

ffs if he wants the option to hilariously one-shot a squishy every 60 seconds at the cost of getting instantly vaporized in teamfights then leave him be, its like you don't want people to have fun in a videogame. You remind me of some players I just had to deal with a couple of games ago who spammed post-game chat about how much of an idiot I was for building AD Darius, in a normals game where I was clearly just trying to have fun ( yet there was absolutely no issue with the 8/15 Runeglaive Rammus on my team)

4k only 32% of health? Did you get this screenshot from urf where hp and dmg were higher? Because those numbers make 0 sense. Edited: meant to say 32

68 + 32 = 100

I'm not sure where you got 31 from, assuming you misread the number. Either way, here's nother one

I'm pretty sure the first was from a custom of Sion farming HP vs veigar farming AP.

Cherysse6 votes

Lee Sin is ridiculous... he is so OP that he should be getting a Bold Man Brazzers skin.

Teridax686 votes

"Only" 200 bonus AD requires at least three damage items, plus runes and masteries, and "21% HP" is 18% of the kicked target's bonus health to other enemies. Blatant misinformation aside, you're also comparing an ultimate to a basic ability, and damage to CC, on champions who differ radically from each other in nearly every way, so there's pretty much no meaningful comparison to be made here. I'm not too happy about the Nevermove nerf, but threads like these crowd out proper discussion on the topic.

ChaosThief6 votes

It looks absurd on paper, but in game... it isn't actually... that bad.

prepares for shower of downvotes

No but seriously on paper some things may look broken and some may look weak but turn out to be the opposite. Lee's ult isn't going to do that much usually as he doesn't build that much AD (hydra is the most damage he builds... right?)

Also it's 18*% of the kicked target's hp to targets they collide with. Huge difference.

Dealth6 votes

Hey look another Lee Sin band-wagon thread with blatant lies in the title such as

  • Lee sin does not do % max health, he does % bonus health
  • Lee sin does not do damage to his primary target, only whoever his target is knocked into
  • The damage is not 21% it's 18%
  • The flat damage is 600, not 1000

And fun fact, if Lee Sin is on the enemy team that will actually improve your chance of winning the game since he has such a low win rate.

Only 200 bonus AD

So... if Lee Sin builds nothing but offensive AD items he does a lot of damage with his ultimate? THAT'S SO CRAZY!!!

gasmask8664 votes

daily reminder that lee sin's win rate doesn't coincide with the idea that his ult is op compare it to swain and skarners win rate note the lack of facts and evidence in the discussion

why are these circle jerk threads being upvoted?

Mathbalnase3 votes

COLLISION DAMAGE: 200 / 400 / 600 (+ 200% bonus AD) (+ 12 / 15 / 18% of kicked target's bonus health)

ChaosThief2 votes

And the bonus health damage only applies to targets that the original target collides with.

Athelious2 votes

Are we really back to the the Lee Sin qq threads? Sure his ult scales with 200 bonus ad, but there are other champion ults that scale better, for example wukongs ult, or caits ult, does that mean we have to nerf them as well? And on a second note where the hell are you guys pulling all these numbers from? It sounds fine and dandy on paper, but when you actually jump in a game and try to use his ult its really lackluster in the late game damage wise and used more for utility, I always thought to myself, these people must be building full ad to nuke people with his ult, but when you try to build full AD you get nuked in team fights, the only scenario where I can actually find this argument plausible is if Lee used his ult against a squishy but then again that goes for any squishy that gets ulted by a ult with decent ratios.

Dealth3 votes

Where are they getting the numbers? They are lies lol. It's 18% not 21% and it's bonus hp not max hp and it doesn't even apply to the target who he kicked. It's just a giant bandwagon.

EDIT: Also it's not 1000 base damage it's 600. As said, just a huge band wagon.

Darth Valer2 votes

Friendly reminder that 200 bonus AD is reached only by building at least three damage items (Warriors included), which is quite impractical unless you're snowballing like a fucking god. And that he has only two meaningful instances of damage come mid-late game (Q and R), which kinda justifies his numbers.

That said, Swain's nerf seems huge to me.
