Gameplay still says self-healing is an overpowered mechanic. There are people who deadpan and fall into silence when told about Grievous Wounds. There are people who build Lord Dominik's and complain about Vlad. We had a thread where somebody was mad that Katarina with a Triforce wasn't doing good damage against Galio. The guy who was mad about Vlad using his ult, then both summoners, his Hextech, and QWE to kill a Cassiopeia, saying he was too strong if he could do that. I mean, people on Gameplay say a lot of things and there is insane bandwagoning. You hang around enough, you'll see a lot of everything-- and if you want to pick it out of the mess, you'll find a lot of 'evidence.'
They're just white noise. If Riot deemed her necessary for a response, she'd get one. When Boards are right, it tends to be outside of gameplay. Anyone can post-- even me! I'm just some asshole!
Orianna's seeing more play. As a result, I'm better learning how to deal with her-- every time I bite the dust to her, I recognize what I did wrong against her and how to better avoid it next time. That's my personal experience. I've never had to deal with her quite so much, but she diiiid just get a sick new skin.
This is the same as people who think Nid's spears are OP. Looking around, I see Yi coming up a lot too-- is he the new hotly contested fotm, or are people who get stomped by Yi coming to Boards more?
We don't have evidence of anything. We just have a bunch of opinions. And really, do we have that many? Even this thread's already got a variety of arguments and debates.
TBH, the reason Ori probably feels good is A) her competition got nerfed and B) now she's relevant in a meta where TLD is pretty much the most relevant keystone. People will learn her combo is the result of most of her damage, learn how to run about the ball, and that's that. Fizz or Ekko will get popular again.
