Why didn't Riot just nerf Kassadin's damage instead of his ult?

His ult is way more core to his identity, and this feels way more terrible to play than his Q just being nerfed. I wish they just nerfed his AP ratios to make it so people would have to do weird builds to make him work since I like playing AD/Blue Kassadin anyways.

This just ruins him for everybody.

Ahri was actually a bit of a tougher matchup as far as mages go, but otherwise yeah.
