RIP Zilean

One of the few champs I enjoy playing, relegated to "skillshot" landing to aim his Q's... like it's not going to stick to a minion EVERY FREAKING TIME or something. And "lay traps" with his Q in bushes? They last 3 seconds before exploding. You're not going to be ambushing squat like that.

Sad day, all I'm seeing is nerfs across the board to a champ that goes OOM trying to achieve anything already.

You could at least try it first before posting that you don't like it (and wait for the likely adjustments that often come after reworked abilities).

His Q prioritises landing on champions. It's basically still impossible to miss, calm down.

  1. his bombs prioritize champions
  2. his bombs can be thrown over minions
  3. you dont seem to be very creative or do not know the importance of zoning

It's a good change.

Turning Q into a skill-shot opens him up to further tuning if necessary, whereas leaving it as a targeted ability constricts what they can do with him because of it's guaranteed free damage (x2 with W).

He's still unique in that he provides a ton of utility with a decent amount of poke damage.

When his passive was switched from a global to an area effect, it pretty much sealed his primary role as an ADC support.

  • They're meant to, is the key word you've left out. I'm sure like so many things I can throw it right on top of someone's head and it'll magically poof onto a minion instead
  • And? So can lots of AOE's. That doesn't suddenly make them better then a targeted ability.
  • Your opinion. I just assume my opponents won't be braindead and stand still so I can bomb them, or walk into random bushes. If they were like Teemo Shrooms and didn't go off until stepped on, then sure. Three seconds of slowly ticking down is more than long enough for another smart to get out, especially if to land a stun combo you have to throw a very obvious second bomb their way.

So what I just realised is... Zilean's Q is now Xerath's old E-stun combo... which was abysmally bad. And new Tristana has Zilean's "too toxic" Q on her E. Wut lol.

And then Rewind no longer reduces the cooldown of his ult either, just depressing.

Not sure what their intention is, are they aware that as Zilean if you go into a fight you basically have to ult yourself otherwise you get oneshot? Throwing multiple (2) skillshot bombs doesn't seem like it lowers the risk any.

At the end of the day, it's pretty much a nerf, as well as this it doesn't make sense for a champion of time to have a skillshot, Riot are just getting lazy in my opinion, click on should be a legitimate concept in the game unless they just want to ruin the game.
