Look his popularity when a champion is so popular of course he wouldnt have high win rate because lower division and players who dont know how to play him play him and they keep his win rate low

If you take only win ratio then we should nerf urgot (previous week) he hit 61% win ratio (The 10 people who main the 6 of them win ) I guess urgot is OP according to your logic....

Yasuo players with over 125 games on him can't get a 48% win rate, much less the average Yasuo player.

Also, champion.gg only collects data from platinum and up. His win rate is actually higher in lower elos, probably because most people there don't know how to play against him.

Urgot is barely played, so his data doesn't accurately reflect much. Yasuo is doing poorly right now.

I dont think you will see any nerfs, simply because he doesnt need nerfs. Mastery is nerfed already, noone even picks it anymore. Thunderlords is much better. His shield is shit, can be removed with one simple auto. His 100% crit comes with a cost of reduced damage (every ADC can reach 100% crit without penalty),

oh really so an adc can get 100% critical item 3087 item 1018 ? are you even serious?

His shield mean nothing? 360 shield for FREE is nothing?

and you use thunderlords on yasuo? why do i even reply to you...

Lets talk some statistics then shall we?

Before mastery nerf Yasuo winrate went to 57%, his popularity and ban rate were also sky high. Look at him now, when thunderlords is meta. His winrate went to 45-47%. Most banned champions are DrMundo Soraka TahmKench Kindred Jax Illaoi Fiora Quinn Irelia . He dropped from #1 most popular champion to #10th and dropping. We even see less threads about him. Yasuo is in a very weak state atm, and together with Riven he is probably gonna receive some buffs soon. And i am not Yasuo main, i play him maybe twice a month. And yes, in my opinion Thunderlords or Fervor are much better than Warlords.

First of all, I really like how you worded your post in such a way that anyone who tries to give any actual commentary on yasuo balance will be labeled as a yasuo main and therefore have their opinion voided.

Secondly, yes, I am a yasuo main, get it out of your system.

Thirdly, with Stattik Shiv and Cloak of Agility, yasuo does get 100% crit chance. However, with how his kit is he does around 210 damage per auto with said 2 items. That is actually only slightly higher damage than an adc would at 2 of thier main items completed, and they have the benefit of range and a lane buddy.

Fourth, The mastery that "pretty much is free life steal" only activates when he crits a champion. Meaning, he has to be in melee range, in order to get his free lifesteal. Think about that for a sec.

Fifth, His shield can be brought down with literally 1 instance of damage from any champion source. You can hit him with the extra aoe from Ludens Echo and bring down his shield. So what exactly is the problem with it?

Sixth, His E. Yes, it does give him alot of mobility, around enemy minions. Know how to rob him of that mobility? DON'T FIGHT HIM IN YOUR MINIONS. Bring him to the river, bring him under his turret, fight him in the jungle. Literally, the stupidest thing you can do, is fight yasuo in an area where he has the advantadge. It's like farming against a shen under his turret. You are literally placing yourself in danger

Why you complain about tahm?

First of all you can counter tahm passive by avoid getting hit by him

You cant avoid his skill shot? what the problem with that? just stay with your minions and he would never Q you

His shield is not OP all you have to do is to poke him in lane

His ulti yes it does give him alot of mobility but you get a global warning what you play on mute? dude come tahm is easy to counter i dont know why you wnt him nerfed

Spicy Rice3 votes

So basically, you are a troll?

i just explain you how easy is tahm

You say that is so easy to counter yasuo and i explain to you how easy is to counter tahm so why you complain about tahm in your posts? i mean he is so easy look how easy it is to counter him.....

Oh wait because paper and real life gameplay is SOMETHING DIFFERENT

Urgot in papers sound OP but in gameplay he is useless

Spicy Rice1 votes

When the hell have i complained about Tahm Kench?

ALL they need to do on Yasuo is change his wind wall. It is 90% of the reason he's god-damned infuriating to play against and it's easily one of the most broken abilities in the game. He can keep his stupid crit passive. he can keep his dashes. He can keep his shield and armor pen (yay free stats...). Lose wind wall and now there are windows to hurt him... but he still has his shield and dash to avoid skillshots and mitigate poke. Change wind wall into some other ability... if he MUST have a defensive ability there, make it a personal spell shield or something... not a "press W to negate the enemy adc for 4 seconds" skill.

Spicy Rice2 votes

What about windwall is a problem? It's a 26 second cd at level 1, and he sure as hell isn't maxing it till last.

Attacking yasuo with his windwall off cd is like trying to towerdive an annie with ult and stun. Doing it is just stupid

The Whamboozler1 votes

Well he also has his shield and dashes to avoid skillshots or mitigate poke. Windwall has a longish cooldown. So what? It's still one of the strongest defensive skills in the game and it's the reason he's so infuriating to play against. Doesn't it say anything to you that pretty much ALL of Yasuo's counters are champions who get around wind wall? Doesn't that kinda prove my point?

I'm not even saying he's OP. But that ability is cancerous and unfun... and it's the reason for the yas hate. It's the kind of thing that should be on a defensive support not a hypercarry. In lane it's annoying but can be worked around. And come mid and late game it can single-handedly win teamfights by negating the enemy adc and possibly apc from being able to contribute to the fight unless they move into a bad position. The only reason it isn't the most ungodly broken thing ever is that it's easy to misuse. That doesn't mean it's a well-designed ability though...

Wind Wall's existence makes the game less interactive for his opponent and forces the tempo of the match up to happen on Yasuo's terms. That is annoying. OP or not, it's annoying. It's playing cops and robbers with your friend and every time you attempt to do something he holds up a hand and just screams "No!". It's facing a counterspell-heavy stasis blue deck in magic. It is a mechanic that Yasuo finds fun, but that his enemies HATE because they came to play the game, not watch Yasuo dash around farming while they feel useless and unable to affect him.

Add in the fact that Yasuo has a high pick rate AND a nasty difficulty curve and you can see more of the hatred for him coming. He's in a lot of games. He attracts a lot of yolo-players who do stupid things. Bad yasuo's tend to feed. So his own team loathes seeing him because Yasuo is like Shaco. Good ones are terrifying but most blow and feed. And his enemies hate him because he's obnoxious and unfun to play against... and.... well, you see where this is going. And the answer is "to forums to write more discussions about how much we hate Yasuo".

Spicy Rice1 votes

The thing is, without windwall, Yasuo doesn't have a real reason to be picked over someone like yi or trynd. If im not mistaken, all melee carries have some sort incredibly powerful "defensive" spell in order to compensate for the fact they have to build pure damage and be melee range.

The Whamboozler1 votes

Without wind wall his ult will STILL be a game changer. Trynd is the splitpush and dueling god. Yi is the man at cleaning up fights and running down enemies who flee. Yasuo can camp behind his front line, wait for a set up for his ult and then press R to wombo combo them for a TON of damage, even more CC and then mop up what's left with the armor pen from his ult and his insane damage and crits.

Let's not pretend he NEEDS wind wall to have a niche. He's picked for his ult and it's wombo potential. Plus, they could easily replace his wind wall with another ability that would feed more into his niche of "follow up on an initiator's engage and wombo a team". He doesn't need Wind Wall. He already has enough schticks. He has spammy dashes, doubled crit and a low CD auto attack reset. His identity will NOT be destroyed by the loss of windwall.

Spicy Rice1 votes

I'm saying that he won't have enough utility to actually get to enemy carries without a team babysitting him in fights

The Whamboozler1 votes

Ok so? He's built well to shred the front line with the CC and bonus armor pen on his ult. If his initiator can't reach the back lines why should Yas get a free pass to it? Also he's squishy... he SHOULD need a team to babysit him. That's how that works.

This is what I'm talking about. LOTS of champs can't reach the back line easily. But Yas players seem to think that he's entitled to at least have a chance at being able to do EVERYTHING. The answer to critique isn't "Well if he loses that how will he duel/waveclear/chase/escape/teamfight/assassinate/block spells/defend his team/poke" it's to say "Wait a minute... why can yasuo do all of those things?". The guy does too much and has an answer to nearly everything anyone can throw at him... his failings mostly being that it's difficult to use him right. Not many other champs can do all that. Why should Yasuo be able to? Aside from... you know... the fact that you just like him.

because these champions are balanced while yasuo is not that the different

People complain about tahm i mean why you complain about tahm? he is totally balanced and i can make him sound useless too in PAPERS

So you were syaing

ZT Xperimentor1 votes

Agreed, him & leesin are way too popular without any reliable counters.

YumScrumptious961 votes

Malzahar

ZT Xperimentor1 votes

Malzahar, he has some aoe dot damage, and single target burst; however he's lacking mobility and defense, making him vulnerable to . . .

Out poke him (mundo, caitlyn, gnar, sivir, ext) Bait him (fizz, wukong, morgana, ext) Double team him (obviously have backup that can interrupt him, like nautilus or zac) Itemize with intelligence (banshee's veil, mercurial scimitar, ext)

Yasou & leesin have overloaded kits making them excel in most situations that they should have weaknesses in, which is why I specified them.

YumScrumptious961 votes

You just said Yasuo doesn't have a reliable counter. Malzahar is a big counter.

ZT Xperimentor1 votes

Ahh I thought you were listing him as another problem champion, you should've explained that in the first place. Hmm; non-projectile aoe damage, and targeted dot damage, yeah I could see him being a counter. In theory anyway, problem I immediately think of is; if he doesn't kill yasou with his full combo burst, yasou will step on him with ease.

The Whamboozler1 votes

Anyone who has to get too close to malz in lane tends to lose to malz in lane. This isn't new. Annie is the same way. If you out-range her you're fine. If you have to get near her... TIBBERS.

Olivaeus1 votes

I've recently started playing Yasuo just due to the fact that yes, he is a popular pick, I thought i might as well try him out and see what all the fuss is about.

To start off, he is NOT OP. To complain about a 3 second shield is utterly stupid and I would say that as a champion, hes on-par with Riven to where while they do have hard counters (ie Riven vRenekton) a skilled Riven player can outplay their hard counter just like a skilled yasuo player can outplay any mid laner they come across

Saying you want a nerf to a champion just because the other player has taken the time to master said champion would be very counter-intuitive to the game and the reason some people 'main' specific champions.

AnonymousPoro1 votes

Yasuo is not OP. His kit may need a little tweaking(such as a higher cooldown on his ult or E), but it is not OP. Let me give you a few examples of how he isn't OP.

  1. Yasuo is squishy. A two to three man gank or a tank(such as Illaoi, Poppy. or Volibear) can shut him down if he hasn't been fed.
  2. Although you may be correct that Yasuo's passive doubles his crit-strike chance, you conveniently left out that his critical strike damage is halved.
  3. Yasuo's shield is counterable; basic attack him then unload on him with your abilities. If his shield regenerates, rinse and repeat.
  4. If Yasuo falls behind, he becomes dead-weight and a liability to his team and rarely ever comes back.
