Just a reminder, 50% winrate is the goal.

You forget - nothing changes in a vacuum.

Every buff or nerf to a champion is a buff or nerf to every single other champion that champion faces.

Let's say we buff BorK's on-hit damage up to 9% instead of 8%. What immediate impact does this have? Well, it buffs everyone that uses it, obviously. In particular, for this argument, Lucian becomes stronger because of it.

Lucian getting stronger means every other ADC (except those who also benefit from BorK's changes) get weaker against him. Tanks and juggernauts are a bit less useful against him, reducing their winrate against him.

At the same time, it buffs everyone who synergizes well with him. Any support that does well with him gets stronger.

It's far from over there, though. There are three other lanes, and several other ADCs. Kog'maw also uses BorK as a core item, he also gets stronger. This makes other ADCs weaker because of him, Lulu and Janna's winrates go up as his two best supports...

Oh, but there's even more changes. Kog'maw is meta again? This means he needs more tanks on his team to protect him. Tanks toplane might be more common then, jungle tanks may or may not become stronger, and we'll see a few less assassins mid and a few more mages.

Guess who also got stronger? That's right, Ashe did as well. She also uses BorK, although not as much as the others.

And we're not even considering Kindred and MasterYi, two junglers that use BorK. Both get stronger as well, encouraging more tanks top (to peel for the Kindred and to peel against the Yi), and less assassins - especially AD ones - in mid, because otherwise you just have too much AD.

All of that because of a number going from .08 to .09. One change, and we affected all 5 lanes, buffed a dozen champions directly, and changed the winrate of all champions. One change changed 100+ other variables.

And...how many changes are in a patch? 20? 30? 50? Usually 15-35, or thereabouts, depending on the nature of what comes out, not counting bugfixes buffing and nerfing champions as well.

If there are 52 weeks in a year, and a patch every 2 weeks, and 8 years, that comes out to 208 patches...Let's call it an even 200 because of the times patches are delayed.

200 patches with 15-35 changes each...And each change affects so many things...

It'd take nothing short of an absolute miracle to get every champion to 50% winrate. And even then, that wouldn't be balanced. Some champions take more skill than others, and should have a higher winrate when only played by their mains. Some take a higher skill level and should have a lower winrate.

Was your name supposed to be ironic when making this thread?

I mean, it's been the same since S2 so... That means 1 of 2 things. Either it's not, OR I'm about 20+ levels higher than you could ever imagine. BOW DOWN YOU TINY BRAIN FOOL AND WORSHIP MY FEET. Or.... something.

Just a reminder 50% win rate isn't the goal

Just a reminder, they should be focusing on fixing low pick rate champs, instead of constantly buffing high pick rate champ.

Duh, but that's not gonna happen.
