Tank Junglers would be fine with some sustain (an idea based on Quill Coat and Thornmail)
I recently decided to take Alistar back into the Jungle and noticed that he works really great in the new Jungle especially considering the other tanks are struggling. Trailblazer really helps with his crleartime.
But what set's him appart from other tank Junglers is his innate sustain through his heal. He can just clear all six camps and gank twice with full health before his first back. (it's better to get Trailblazer halfway though, I just wanted to make clear exactly how much easier he has it)
So I want to suggest an item set, that gives just that: sustain for Tanks. And Tanks alone at that! I'm not proposing this a s part of the jungle items, but rather as an auxilarry item that can also be picked up by lane Tanks, that's why the second stage is a slightly modified Thornmail:
+ 400g = 700g
20 armor
Unique - Sapping Barbs: When hit by monsters, Quill Coat drains 30% of your damage reduction from the attacker, dealing magic damage and healing you for the same amount. The heal is limited to half of the damage taken.
Basically what this does is, grawing heal and additional damage from Tanking. As it scales with damage reduced, the effect is bigger the more Armor you have. The heal is limited so that you don't become Galio on Shield permanently.

+ 650g = 2100g
100 Armor
Unique - Sapping Barbs: Unique - Sapping Barbs: When hit by basic attacks, Thorn Mail drains 30% of the resisted damage from the attacker, dealing magic damage and healing you for the same amount. The heal is limited to half of damage taken.
Ok some math:
Let's say you have 200 Armor. That's 100/100+200=33% damage taken or 67% damage reduced. Thornmail would deal 67% * 30% = 20% damage (the same as now) and heal for 20%>33%/2 => 16,5%
With 400 armor it would deal 24% damage (slightly more) and heal for 10% (it's less heal, because you also take less damage)
Getting Quill Coat early would leave you around 60 armor, that's 11% damage return to monsters and 11% heal.
So what do you say about something like this?
Edit I realized this wouldn't help with the very first clear, so maybe change the Gromp buff to this type of effect?
+ 400g = 700g
Thorn Mail
+ 650g = 2100g
is their to take into the calculation. Additionaly 10% damage reflection is pretty massive for the early game.
