What irks me the most about the Darius Rework:
It's a massive thematical failure.
Did the champ up team even TRY to understand the character they are working on? From his appearance to his voiceover, Darius radiates authority. He's a strong, but also a CALM and calculating fighter, using every weakness he can find in his opponents. And the first thing you give him is... MINDLESS BLOODRUSH?
Seriously? WE ALREADY HAVE SEVERAL CHAMPS WITH THAT TROPE
(and a little
). Heck, we even has DRAVEN, who has "blood rush" as one of his skills. Darius was supposed the calmer one of the two brothers, just saying...
He was never supposed to be a teamfighter. WHO THE HELL decided that his sole identity was "DUNKING"?! For that buff to the ult you pretty much gutted the entire kit. So we have a passive around stacks and at the strongest point... he doesn't have to care about it anymore? Wtf.
There are some things that are fine with this, but the current result is horrible. I can get inner circle Q dealing less damage and not applying bleed. It makes sense, you don't hit them with the sharp part of your weapon. Or the BugFix on E, because no champion should be reliant on bugs to be viable. But the rest of the changes... absolutly horrible.
My suggestion would be to turn his ultimate back to normal and then rework his W into a skill that is not a enchanted basic attack. How about some axe- upward swing that knows people slightly away? From inner Q range to outer Q range again while slowing for a little bit? Then Darius is all about keeping his enemies closer, but not TOO close for a long time... that's a theme you can work with gameplay wise, no?
Hey, guys! We're all getting kit changes! They're calling us "The Juggernauts".
Never thought of us before like that. That's metal.
Make it quick, Garen.
You are right. I dont know. I got a rock.
Hey, I'm not that bad in a duo lane.
