Let's talk about Annie.

With all these recent balance changes to champion abilities and reworks, looking back at Annie, her passive is a little too old and strong for a burst champion. Lets look waaay back at what happened to these champs: Kassadin Leblanc Talon These burst champs had their silences removed entirely. Makes me think... reduce her stun duration? Or possibly revisit it as a whole? I was thinking of something like Vladmir's changes at first and thought to have your stacks fall off if you don't use it, but we don't want it to feel too similar to him. Maybe a short duration fear instead? Something to make the passive less... boring? Right now you can stack your passive and just sit there with a stun ready to delete you if you get too close or use a point click ability to stun you for her jungler. Also, it feels like her E is just there to stack it up or to juke that one extra stack and pull your stun off.

I've been thinking about this for years. Time to finally put this idea out there.

Playing with Fire (Passive) Hitting enemy champions with different spells stacks "panic" on them. At 3 stacks the enemy will become panicked and run around in circles for 1.5 seconds [OMG IM ON FIRE!!! AAAAHH!!] while taking small damage per second. All stacks of panic are removed when the enemy hasn't been hit by your spells for 6 seconds. (30 second cooldown)

Pyroball (Q) Cost: Range:

Annie throws a fireball at target area dealing damage.

Scorch (W) Cost: Range:

Annie burns enemies in an area in front of her. Mana is refunded based on enemies killed.

Fire Twirl (E) Cost: Range:

Annie casts a ring of swirling fire around herself or enemy. Targeting herself reduces damage taken and burns enemies who attack you, while around target enemy it deals damage per second. Fire Twirl is also casted on "Tibbers, The Shadow Bear" if you use it on yourself. [Only applies 1 stack of "Panic" per cast]

Tibbers, The Shadow Bear (R) Cost: Range:

Annie tosses her doll at target location expanding to Tibbers full size damaging and fearing any enemies nearby. Tibbers leaves a trail of fire behind him dealing small damage per second to enemies who stand on it. (You still control him the same.)

Maybe even make Tibbers attack while on all fours like in the CGI-short A Twist of Fate. Possibly make it to out of combat he could walk around like he does currently. Just ideas being thrown out there.

Let me know what you think. Riot has a lot of older champions they are reworking currently and we, as a community, can help them out. Just throw some ideas out there. Who knows what they'll take into consideration? You never know if you don't try. Some concepts make it and some don't. Just posting this to try and see our little pyro lady a little more fun to play someday. Maybe even get that teenage Annie I've seen around. XD

Annie is almost totally unviable in higher elos. She's not a strong champion. Why make her even weaker?

Annie doesn't need changes or any sort of modernizing. The game needs simple champions like Annie, Rammus and Garen for beginners, and it's okay and actually desirable that these beginner champs are strong at low elo and weak at high elo. People are intended to eventually outgrow and stop playing them.

She isnt a bad pick on high elo, just isnt 2 popular due her lack of mobility.

She's not outright bad but she's suboptimal and if you're intentionally playing suboptimally you're playing to lose.

I can see your point to leave her as is for newer players, but this game has evolved a lot from what it was. Reworks are just the big thing right now. Seeing how one of the beginner champs has already been modernized, Warwick, and the Nunu rework somewhere along the line, why not Annie? Who knows what future plans Riot has for the beginner champs as far as tweaks and reworks are concerned. May League of Legends have a GLORIOUS EVOLUTION! Viktor

Annie needs a VGU. Similar to Fiddlesticks, Morgana, and Kayle. They function, but are in significant need of a kit update.

She needs a VGU, until then though shes fine.

Annie = wait for flash and tibbers, then go all in. Derpy game play.

Ew. I don't like that at all, plus Riot has no plans to change her stun or anything. They like her how she is. If you want proof, go look at her page in the MYMU update. It's all there in the post and comments.

She's supposed to be an easy champion for new players. She's fine as is.

This? Also they noted they want to change her shield to do something other than a passive stack. "We don't think anyone likes Annie flash ulting onto them and bursting them down. We do think LoL needs some champions that provide reliable CC though as a both a balancing lever against some types of champion and as one of the ways to make short range damage focused kits functional (other options including untargetability, inherent tankiness, massive temporary defense etc). As a result we believe it's worth accepting the limited counterplay you have once Annie's in range of you, or when she has Flash up, frustrating though that can be."

Exactly. So stop posting asking for her stun changes. It pisses me off when people just post and don't look for actual answers before posting.

And well if they wanted to change her shield then they would have done it in her changes. And since they didn't, I come to see they don't want that changed.
