Anyone else feels the powder keg change is really brutal for GP?
From the patch notes;
Gangplank _Parrrley [Q] _- Now gives 4 gold and Silver Serpents on kill at all ranks (down from 4/5/6/7/8) _Powder Keg [E] -_Now stores maximum 3 barrels (from 2/3/4/5, based on R rank) Cooldown changed to 20/18/16/14/12 seconds (from 18/17/16/15/14) _Cannon Barrage [R] _-No longer increases maximum Powder Kegs stored (from 3/4/5) Upgrades cost lowered to 250 Silver Serpents (down from 500)
I actually really like the Parrrley changes, as that skill allowed Gangplank to be ahead in gold even when behind in farm, effectively making him immune to being shutdown in lane after his triforce powerspike. That being said, the barrel charges changes is just too much. They are already able to be detonated by the enemy, which sometimes make them hard to pull off against an opponent that pays attention. This change will punish GP players so hard so not detonating a barrel that it will effectively gut his ability to zone, reset his passive, and siege effectively. Meanwhile buffing the limit to 3 from lvl 1 will only exasperate the problem of Gangplank's already powerful early game. What's the rationale behind this change? Why not wait to see if Gangplank's ability to farm gold less effectively cuts into how fast he reaches his power spikes and brings him more in line with other lane opponents? This double-dip of nerfs seem too intense for how Riot stresses doing balance changes with care.
