Why is Yasuo squishy as hell?

But other hyper carries like Tryndamere, Master Yi, etc actually have decent base HP and defenses? Why is Yasuo balanced as a squishy instead of as a bruiser carry like he should be. Let's be honest here. He's not an assassin. No stealth, and no point and click burst abilities. He is a late game hyper carry fighter. He NEEDS to be on the frong line in order to do damage, and yet his base HP is almost as low as Anivia's. This needs to change. Haters be damned. Riot please. Give Yasuo the stats he needs to do his job.

And yes you can argue that his wind wall and his passive negate his squishiness, but other hyper carries have defensive abilities as well. Master hi has meditate to reduce damage and alpha strike to dodge skillshots. And his ult removes slows! And Tryndamere can heal, is invincible for 5 seconds, and can reduce the ad of his enemies to help him survive. So please, don't tell me Yasuo is the only hyper carries with defensive abilities. The difference is, other hyper carries aren't squishy as hell. Master Yi and Tryndamere actually have decent base HP and defenses. Yasuo does not. Why this is I will never know.

He is a melee ADC, not really a fighter. He was actually supposed to be an alternative bot lane champion, but it never picked up (that's why he has such a strong counter to ranged champions). Because of the defensive powers in his kit, he has lower base defensive stats.

And Master Yi and Tryndamere aren't? Why are they allowed to not be squishy?

Master Yi is an assassin, and he is squishy.

Tryndamere is a light fighter, which is why he has a bit more durability

His base HP and defenses are higher than Yasuo. Not really squishy. And literally every ability in his kit helps him survive in one way or another (except wuju style).

Two. Two abilities help him survive, equal to the kit components Yasuo has.

And Yi is a bit higher tuned as well because he is a jungler. Jungler typically have something that makes clearing the jungle easier, be that stronger resistances or bonus damage to monsters, etc.

Three actually. His ult, his meditate, and alpha strike (because dodging skillshots=dodging damage).

Master Yi is not an assassin, and Riot is wrong to label him such. He's a light fighter/melee adc. The terms are synonymous, though light fighter is more recent. Every light fighter (Yasuo, Tryndamere, Fiora, Master Yi, Gangplank, might be forgetting one) is a melee adc.

Tryndamere has been referred to as a melee adc long before he was referred to as a light fighter.

Why is yasuo so squishy?

Becuz he has RESOLVE, He has a shield against champion. Catch point is keep MOVING and attacking ( well that's Q, E which counts as moving) But wait, Yi has shield ( yeah at base, under tower). Tryn has his ult for 5 seconds. ( at lvl 6 and then he dies) let's see if he can catch yas while Yas is dancing around minions using E.

Why does Yas has low HP? With a 100HP shield, it's like having 618 hp at start of lvl 1. Is 618 a low health? His HP regen is 3rd best in RIOT.

If you are not able to use Q + E and stack up flow, then don't play Yasuo, He isn't your type of champ.

his 100 shield quickly goes away after one auto.

Because yasuo can get 100% crib chance with two items and his ult gives him 50% armor penetration for 15 seconds.

And let me add to everything I've already said. Yasuo has more counterplay than Master Yi and Tryndamere will ever have. You can dodge his 'q', so you can avoid a lot of his damage. You cannot dodge Master Yi or Tryndamere's abilities.

Probably because Yasuo is more team fight oriented than Trynd/Yi which don't have a stellar team fight- unless fed/the enemy picked wrong but then who has a bad team fight in that case- the utility, damage and damage prevention of last breath and wind wall are situationally game changing

Yasuo has 3 ways to avoid or mitigate damage;

Passive shield which reactivates during ult, (they didn't change this, right?)

Wind wall

Sweeping Blades to avoid skill shots / proximity attacks / sometimes the cursor

Sure but that's also a point of good design on Yasuo compared to Trynd and Yi

Trynd and Yi generally run at you and there's usually nothing to dodge then you die or live based off items

Sometimes you live or die based off Yasuo landing his 'q' or not landing his 'q'

Like I said this is why he's healthy, and Tryndamere and Master Yi are not. Why can't he have higher base HP and defenses, like Yi and Tryn? And his sweeping blade is not good for survival. If he has nothing to dash to, he's not going anywhere.
