Vlad has no real weakness

He heals back poke damage and you can't burst him because of pool. You also can't gank him because if pool. He can also build really tanky. I mean some people say grevious wounds counters him but he still deals burst level damage with his e. I think that a burst mage with sustain is just a toxic design.

EDIT: Im not talking about items and grievous wounds. I mean aside from all of his healing, that Vlad is a burst mage with an untargetable ability similar to . He has burst damage as well as being inherently tanky with sustain. Even if you build grievous wounds he is still tanky as fuck with tons of damage. Stop saying stops the problem because it doesnt.

He does die fairly easily in group fights, but I will say that laning against him is definitely one of those boring uninteractive lanes, especially if you're melee. Just farm it up.

Every single one of those champions has a way to get on top of Vlad and dunk on him and their gap closer is on a much lower cooldown then his pool.

Also for the record. If you Jump on Vlad and he pools, you can back off. You won the trade. His pool costs 15 percent of his current health. All of these champions can reengage within 10 seconds and his pool will be off cooldown. So he either backs off and waits for pool, getting zoned from minions, or dies. One of the two

You cant just engage 24/7 on a ranged champ tho, and many of those champs still seem pretty easy to lane against as Vlad.

You can and you do. 90 percent of those champions have a targeted gap closer. If he burns his W getting out of it the last time you used it hes a sitting duck for when the gap closer comes off cooldown. Vlad does very low damage early and has absolutely no mobility. If Camille Jax Irelia Fizz Riven etc jump on him with no pool he is dead or burning his flash

Yes when there are minions, and if your argument of "vlad has no counterplay" is well his jungler could be there. Yep thats a 2 v 1 so obviously you will lose that.

Vlad has tons of counterplay and I just provided plenty of it.

I one trick Kayle and Vlad is a free lane.

He lacks CC in his kit. His range is pretty low compared to many other mages. His empowered Q and E are telegraphed. And his wave clear isn't great pre-6. Grievous wounds can also really inhibit his trading during lane phase.

On the upside, he can become untargetable. He benefits by building tankier AP items. He is resourceless. His ult is an AOE damage amp. He can sustain off of creep waves (at the cost of his poke). And none of his abilities are actually skillshots.

I mean his whole identity isn't his healing anymore though. He isn't a sustain mage anymore. He's burst so it doesn't really screw him over that much. It's just am added bonus that he can heal.

Lack of cc, lack of range, lack of mobility, heal that can be countered with a cheap item, without his ult he doesn't even have real burst. No real weakness.

Btw I hate his auto attacks.

Weaknesses: Low Range, Immobility, Lack of hard CC, needs a lot of items to really shine, both in terms of durability and damage.

You present us the situation of a late game Vlad. Poke actually kills him, and if he rushes things like Spirit Visage, he will lack in damage. Moreover, when grouping, the amount of mixed damage your team has should kill him in seconds until he gets his final items.

Late game Vlad is annoying, however, to be fair, most of the times in the early game he seems like an inferior version of another mage.

Everything that has grievous wounds, enemies that can engage out of his range, anyone that can cc him reliably after pool, anyone that can lock him down while pooled (tether cc) and every champion that isn't bursted by his Q and E that relies on DPS will kill him. Max health damage is effective as he builds mostly raw health without much resistances save for one or two and by then he's doing less damage than he would building proper AP. Ever try and fight an ADC that built MR items? Even his full combo has a down time of at least 2 seconds compared to auto attacks from an ADC.

Perhaps you feel that his weaknesses aren't exploitable due to the way he is played or decisions a player makes that may or may not cover these weaknesses, but they are there and they are very prevalent.
