Allowing Myself to be Carried

This morning I played 3 games, all ROUGH for my team. Despite the massive lead the enemy had each game, we won. I muted all and allowed myself to be carried by using my cc and sticking with team and tried not to over feed. It worked 3 times. I think I truly understand now what it means to play from behind. I'm going to continue to make it my mission to be consistent. Despite me doing bad individually, I was determined not to be dead weight for my team. My teams did amazingly as the games went on, and I contributed in a big way by not letting them die and helping set up plays and keeping vision up.

Edit: Lol at the salty enemy team that told me I was bad. Maybe so. But my team won and your Nexus is destroyed.

I tell folks to think of the game as dice rolls not coin flips. Dice do a better job of representing a range then coins but are still usable for 100% RNG testing.

For this illustration The team with the highest combined scores wins. We can also represent players skill gaps are what # of sided dice you are. Weak players can be a d6 average would be d10-12. A troll, would be d3.

The power of being consistent can be shown very well here. A lot of league players go all or nothing in their playstyles. Win, win more. Lose snowball the enemy. Full range of Great to terrible games.

If you can play from behind. You change your average role by removing the lower value roles. You don't hit a 1 or a 2. So even thou you as a player cant put up a 20 point performance in the match. the more you cut away from your bottom end the more often your team can win, even if your not the same value as other dice in the match.

D 10 average. 5. D10 that wont hit 1,2,3. is 7.
D12 6. A loaded d10 > standard d12.

MMR and Elo systems represent a range. So one way to up your rating is to cut out your bottom end games.

I like that you made this post to help others. I am happy you learned about playing from behind. Getting better at playing from behind was how I made it to gold the first time.

Honestly only an idiot assumes all players on their team are better then the enemy team. Some one is gonna get outclassed, some times its you. My opinion is your not "letting team carry" Your just not dead fucking weight for your team if your enemies stronger. All it takes at that point is some one on their team to get outclassed and be deadweight.

Exactly. I found that the coin flip mentality is a self fulfilling prophecy.

if you can get to a point your hard to tilt. don't mute teamamtes so you can catch flamers or some one starting to tilt and try to stop that. You can salvage some wins by getting two toxic teammates to mute echother or convince a feeder to play from behind.

a lot of "feeders" have this mentality that they got to make some kinda of KDA impact to convince teammates they are not shit. When the reality is they are vs some one whos just a better player and already has a lead. they take their best games on their champion and think that's their normal level of play rather then expect it to be a "high roll" so to speak. By not adapting they generate lower rolls then if they just adjusted their play pattern to be more conservative. Some times its not enough your just gonna get steamrolled.

I made myself better at dealing with frustration by playing 2 games designed to make you rage. http://kayin.moe/iwbtg/ which is free and a fucking awful experience in Trial and error. Of all my friends on steam I am the only one who beat Getting over it

can relate, i was playing anivia mid and was having a rough time against zed and was not doing much in team fights so I decided to play anivia as a support and protect our jinx at all costs so she could carry. It worked since we began to win every team fight and destroy the nexus
