I have been playing kennen and I realized that if I aim for cs and right click with my w empowered aa, if the minions dies before I hit it I don't get any gold, but the auto attack buff is gone, is this normal or should it be fixed?
This is normal I think.
This happens with a lot of champs, not just kennen. If you throw your pick a card as tf, the minion dies and you lose the AA enhancer. I'm not too bright when it comes to these things, but it comes down to the projectile already being in motion. If you auto attack and move before your projectile leaves your character model, it'll cancel it keeping any AA enhancer available. However, if you don't cancel it and the champion/minion doesn't die before your projectile flies out, it considers the projectile to be still in motion.
What this means is that whatever on hit effects/enhances are on that projectile will be used regardless of if it hits it's targets or not. It might not seem fair, but it's just the way the game is and it keeps it balanced so you have to actually time your abilities properly and don't just get freebie chances for messing up.
I'm sure a techy person can put this into a more geeky, organized and structure paragraph with some fancy words.
