can we remove unecessary parts of gnars kit already?

for being overpowered in mega form, he should be more vulnerable in mini form.

why does he still have a slow on his boomerangs and a movement speed buff on his auto attack procs? just get rid of it. his double hop is enough to kite or engage.

I think what he needs is to have his mega transformation health gain nerfed hard, it's unfair that he get's so much security and sustain right of the bat for free. I thought the idea was to punish gnar while in mini form, but how are you supposed to do that when he can transform off of almost each minion wave at lvl 3?

Are you supposed to succesfully all in the mobile retard pre 3 or just ff?

It's stupid fkin design, it's infuriating to play against, you can't push him out of lane, you can never all in him if he has more than 70% fury or whatever the fk it's called and he gathers that goddamn sh*t so fast it's ridiculous. Atm he needs something to clarify his weakness, hell, at midgame he can go in and out of shapes at will, so when the fk are we supposed to deal with him, RIOT PLS!

ok, then explain to me why its necessary to have a slow and a movement speed buff on a resourceless ranged champion witha gap closer/escape.

its basically impossible for anyone to fight him head on in mega form. so i think he should have drawbacks somewhere else. his kit is overloaded as fuck.

his leap alone is enough to kite most opponents around in mini form. he simply doesnt need the slow and ms buff. its overkill.

hes absolutely not fine. hes the definition of a champion that is not fine.

kat has weaknesses. shes squishy and can be interrupted during her ult.

what weakness does gnar have? hes a kiting machine in mini form and probably the strongest melee champ in the game in mega form. resourceless ranged champions are toxic anyways. so it only makes sense to remove the excess parts of his kit in mini form.

I agree, lets remove Kats passive while we're at it (with no compensation, or give her Quinns passive or something)

funny how when gnar came out people would tell me off for playing such a stupidly weak champ, even after the small unnecessary buff not long after, and hes only been nerfed from there, but now hes broken and overloaded, funny how the system works that someone is useless till there played in lcs, and then there broken until there nerfed into the ground because someone that actually knows what there doing is willing to play them.

i wonder how long it will take for the "bard is fucking broken nerf him now" threads to come out.

he was always broken and overloaded. since the moment they decided to make another resourceless ranged champion, he was broken.

didnt you notice yet, how any time they gave a champion 2 kits, he was a nightmare to balance? elise, jayce, nidalee. and now gnar, who is 2 mistakes in 1 champion.

the only cure is to give him the lee sin treatment and start removing parts that arent necessary for the champion to funtion. ms bonus, cc, range and an inbuilt flash for example are too much in a single champion.

Yes, ANOTHER resource less ranged champ, cause you know, theres sooooooo many more of them.Vladimir and of course your plan of action to balance a champion is "remove stuff until people cant kill me anymore and then hes balanced" maybe you should learn how to play against him first.

morello said, he regrets that kennen and vlad were ever made. for exactly the same reason, why gar is toxic. infinite poke and passive play. even if its "just" one more, its one too much. especially if its another one of these overloaded champs with 2 kits on top of that.

the plan of action is, to give the champ actually a weakness.

make him strong in mega form, which he already is, and weak and vulnerable in ranged form, by removing his ms buff and slow. from there on they can start balancing him with numbers. increasing the duration of mega gnar form, and looking on how to control his transformation just a little better over his boomerang instead of having it apply a slow.

but for the windows of overbearing strength he has, he needs equal windows of vulnerability.

due to his mobility, this is not the case right now. he has a much too easy time to play passive, kite and escape even ganks when he overextends.

im not saying, nerf him to shit. im saying cut his kit in ranged form down and then balance him with numbers.

right now, he just switches between hulk mode, where all you can do is stay away from him, and absolute cancer, whos playing passive and poking you to shit under your turret. even if you trade with him, and get damage in on him. one of the biggest problems with fighting him is that he can heal off his transformation. meaning he can cs and play passive until he transformed once or twice and is at full health again.

energy is not resource less, i dont know where you even got that idea from, and even vlad still uses health, and there are weaknesses to both sides of his kit, like how his mega from is super hulky, but is also slow and hard to get a good engage with under normal circumstances without e'ing mid transformation and even then its not always easy against someone that knows how to play, and mini has no hard cc and is squishier but in exchange has mobility and better sustained dps, etc. let alone the rage management system as a whole. im not here to write a guide though and honestly theres a lot of people stronger then gnar in terms of loaded kits right now anyway which just leads me to believe that you lost to a gnar recently and dont like that

energy and range creates the same effect as being ranged and resourceless. absolute passive, poke oriented gameplay with indefinite sustain.

vlads health costs are so low except for his trollpool, that hes basically resourceless aswell. ive played him, and the costs on his e are neglectable. you dont even need to hit minions for the health return to charge it up.

and as far as gnar goes, getting an engage on the enemy is not hard. especially a double hop mid transformation is pretty easy to pull off. at range, hes mobile enough, that he can even easily escape ganks when oiverextending. dont even bother trying to engage on him in ranged form.

ive won against gnars and i lost egainst them. and in either case, i hated playing against him. its not nearly as much of a problem as with most other champs. even when losing lane its usually either due to a misplay on my part or the opponent simply being better.

but in case of gnar, i always get the feeling "allright. time to get poked under my turret for the next 20 minutes" forget trying to make plays and engaging on him, because hes more mobile and will disengage, or hes going to transform and you cant fight him anyways.

the problem i have with the champion, is the way his kit works, makes it extremely difficult to make a play on him. you always have to wait for HIM to make a play on you and make a mistake that you can punish. if not, its back to getting poked and waiting until he tries again.
