Why don't people understand that veigar has ALWAYS been this strong.

patch 5.18: W starts immediately on cast, effectively reducing cast time and delay by 0.25 seconds.

That 0.25 seconds makes the difference of getting caught at max range by his E, followed by him walking in to range to W and that W hitting you or you having time to step out of range after the stun. A 100% AP scaling ability that hits more reliably is a buff however you spell it.

Admittedly, he was still tier 1 before that change. Just that this change made him a bit stronger. P.S. I only bought Veigar 2 days ago, played him in 3 games and went 3-0. All 3 games I had a bad start (enemy Heimerdinger mid started 8-0 with me 0-3, Enemy Lux mid started 2-0 with me 0-2, enemy Kassadin mid started 2-0 with me 0-2). All 3 games as soon as I got Deathcap I was 1-shotting anyone I wanted and never doubted we'd win.

A Lux getting caught by Veigar is just as braindead as a Kassadin leting himselfe be one shoted by an AP Champ! Just saying.

And btw: 0 in 2-3 is no bad start for a Veigar, especially when using TP - being heavily outfarmed, THAT is a bad start!

To be fair, I only caught Lux by flanking teamfights. The cage is wide enough that I had no worry of getting 5v1'd when I showed up at the side of the fight.

I never really did end up catching Kassadin - my teammates took care of that. That game was actually the hardest by far, and I focused the ADC Twisted Fate (ridiculous I know), jungle Elise, and Support Morgana moreso. Morgana was really annoying too, her black shield consistently letting whoever I targeted survive with a sliver of HP. If she wasn't there though, TF or Elise were goners.

I know 0-2 or 0-3 isn't a hugely bad start. I'm pretty solid at farming though and played every game super passively. All the deaths came as a result of me letting them push, my jungler coming to gank (which I didn't ask for) and their jungler counter ganking for 2 kills for 0. All 3 games, my jungler's first gank was for my lane and my jungler died as a result (I died in the last one, survived the first two but died on my own later). The thing is though, a lot of mid laners starting 2-0 or 3-0 should be able to snowball heavily enough to win before I outscale them. With Veigar, that doesn't seem to happen. My E and even W offer enough zoning to deter sieges and allow us to survive until I'm at 700+ (or 1200+) AP and can wreck anyone...
