Here is an amazing example of how new runes helped out a character
Hello and welcome to the thread, now let's get down to business
was an interesting champion after her rework. She remained really powerful for the majority of Season 6.
Sadly enough, during most of season 6
was weak thanks to the meta not supporting her Tank carry playstyle.
Runes have given
players hope, once more.
I present to you:
Kleptomancy
Let me explain:
I had an idea for what tanky champions had on-hit effects and such to abuse Kleptomancy while it is still really strong. I thought of going
but I figured his cooldowns were too high after testing in Practice mode.
That's when I figured it out.
What champion has a ranged attack every 16(from lvl 1 and it gets as low as 10) seconds AND has spammable moves to proc Klepto a lot?
none other than our beloved
For the entire runepage take: Inspiration/ resolve
Kleptomancy
Biscut delivery(biscuts given by Klepto will give you the max mana buff from this)
Magical footwear(you get an effective free 350 gold from the boots these give you at 10 minutes AND from the discount. this lets you get even more ahead in gold from your opponent or acts as a safety net if you are against a lane bully)
Celestial body(you don't have to win lane to get ahead in gold, just stay alive and proc a bunch of kleptomancy and you win)
Resolve
Demolish(poppy is a splitpushing monster with this rune setup. Just counterbuild your lane opponent and have 1 option for the rest of the enemy team)
Overgrowth(This makes you able to stay in lane almost forever when you get even one mana potion from Kleptomancy. And even if RNG doesn't swing your way with mana you still have the Biscut delivery to ensure you stay in lane longer and have more farm)
Items:
Start:
so that you can keep your mana up in lane
CORE:
OR
**Offensive items(how dare they!!): **
Only build trinity if you are going Trinity + steraks because those two combo to give you an INSANE amount of survivability and damage. Yomuu's is for when you need to take out a priority target (such as a 4/0
)
Death's dance is for when you lost lane and need to teamfight.
Defensive Items:

Stoneplate is to allow you to 1v3 later in the game
Guardian angel is just to make killing you TWICE as hard
Spirit visage allows Abyssal mask to heal a LOT more
Wit's end is a personal preference of mine that makes the Sunfire Abyssal mask combo deal 43magic damage per second as almost true damage if enemies don't build MR and you stack up Wit's end all the way.
How did the build work for you?
Did it work at all?
Have some fun and let me know in the comments
