Hes nothing like tryndamere unless you think ALL revive passives are similar.

I'd like a team oriented diver.
But you know, that's exactly how XIn zhao plays.
The rework SHOULD put him at reworked Xin Zhao stage. Which would be great.
The concept i posted isnt similar to xin zhao and has a little more versatility; its meant to poke and then engage under tower.

If you're intent on giving Aatrox team-oriented AOE buffs, they should be more akin to Fiora's R, just on a smaller scale. Like a buff that is provided based on successfully getting a kill/assist (or enhanced). I dont think it should be an initiation tool but rather something that provides a snowball effect once Aatrox gets a kill/assist during a fight. This would provide that sought after "im helping my team" fantasy everyone seems to want out of aatrox wile still retaining his warlike status.
Also, I think Aatrox can be support-y while not having to directly have some kind of team buff. I don't think thats necessary at all. The previous comment about Xin Zhao describes that perfectly. His "support" is more organic and physical than just some generic buffs provided to his team. Galio, Poppy, and even blitz are also good examples of team oriented "support" who don't need to give direct buffs to their teammates to help. Even so, Xin's ult is the best example.
The reason why he doesnt have a fiora style AoE heal is because it isnt thematic. In his lore aatrox leads people into battle - turning them into blood-starved berserkers. Banner of war reflects that and the proposed ultimate also reflects that in a better way than his current ultimate does.
Further, xin zhao is a fighter not a diver. His damage is all targeted with no skill shots and multiple knock ups... so much chain hard CC just isnt fun and thats kind of why no more champions LIKE xin zhao have been released. The proposed rework gets rid of aatrox's major power budget items (his revive and his toggle) by turning him into a front line champion akin to Rhaast who needs to ramp up before he can actually do anything diver-like and gives him stronger tools to poke and survive in that front line.
Id like to make teams think "Do i kill Aatrox now and pop his revive or do i leave him be so his ultimate runs out?". Aatrox killing off a fighter or a mage like lee sin or cass early on and then dying only to come back stronger than before would be a very impactful decision that doesnt lead to a un-winnable snowball.
Aatrox SHOULD be on the front lines of a team fight, soaking damage and dealing damage in return. He SHOULD be giving his allies a tangible benefit while in battle and he SHOULD be capable of being more than the "feed or win" champion like he is now. I feel the proposed rework lets him be less of a feast or famine champion while rejiggering his power budget so that he doesnt feel so auto attack reliant (which is a playstyle that doesnt make sense on most non-crit champions).
