Yasuo shouldn't be able to ultimate off of displacement spells.

The tooltip clearly stats airborne champions.

For the love of god, it's beyond frustrating how I'm airborne for probably the shortest time by something like a Vayne condemn and he can for some reason ult off of this.

I understand that for some spells you're considered "airborne" but in all reality they're displacement effects added in the ability to give the champion some form of small amount of CC. A few great examples would be things like Jayce's E, Shyvana's ultimate and even Darius' pull. The reason why you're considered airborne is because it needs to be coded in some form so that it doesn't look like Darius just drags you to him. The character animations if they weren't designed like this would look sloppy and overall would be dumb. Vayne's E does this and overall it makes the abilities animation look stupid. But this is somehow considered knocking any enemy airborne.

Abilities that aren't designed to be knockups shouldn't be counted as sending any enemy airborne.

Thematically it makes no sense.

That is because you can't base a video game purely off of Thematics or canon logic (i.e., how does wind stop a giant anchor)

In the rules of cold, logical code Yasuo can trigger his Ultimate on any target that is, technically, "Airborne".

Airborne

Airborne: A unit that is airborne is unable to control its movement, attack or cast abilities for the duration. The duration is also unaffected by crowd control reduction and cannot be removed by cleansing effects.

Knockback: A knockback causes the target to be made airborne in a direction away from the point of cast. The duration depends on how far the target travels, from 0.75 seconds (Rammus's Powerball) to 1.5 (Lulu's Wild Growth).

Knockup: A knockup causes the target to be made airborne on the spot. The duration depends on how high is the target thrown into the air, from 0.75 seconds (Rammus's Powerball) to 1.5 (Lulu's Wild Growth).

Pull: A pull effect causes the target to be made airborne in a direction toward the point of cast.

Knowledge is power

So any knock up, knock back (Vayne's Condemn) or Pull (Blitz, Thresh) will let Yasuo trigger his Ultimate.

Does it make sense within the game world? Maybe not. But the fact that he can suspend people in the air with Wind Magic to begin with.. doesn't make sense.

airborne status is triggered by displacement

how many champions need a special condition to be able to use their ultimates anyway?

I don't see this as a problem.. I mean if he's ulting off something like a condemn then he is ulting a single person instead of an entire team, thus wasting a vast majority of his team fight potential. Also, the timing to ult off something like a condemn is extremely tight, very hard to do off of pure reaction. So if you got ganked and they communicated/played it that tightly to the vest, then well off on them imo.

Honestly, if Yasuo has the twitch reflexes to ulti off of something like Thresh landing his hook, Vayne condemn, Trundle pillar, Riven Q, Draven E.. And plenty of others I aint even mad. That's some pretty beastly response time, and he's earned it in my book. Even if I'm the one he's hitting.

yeah like when Rammus bumps into you and then Yasuo ults off of it. I think it is kinda bs tbh.

That moment when you realize Yasuo can ult off Anivias wall and Trundles pillar pushback...

I like it, the split second reaction time needed for the much shorter durations of displacements opens up a lot of skill usage for a Yas player.
