This system seriously needs to either be disabled in ranked above a certain tier, or improved, if removing it would actually blow up queue times as stated (and I highly doubt it would).

Its so misleading and counterproductive to downvote someone without explaining, they are just gonna be confused and not know why you think they are wrong or their argument isn't worth the time.
The more explaining you do, the more common knowledge, the less imperfect ideas/posts come up? Only someone who knows they are wrong would downvote without an explanation/counterarguement that is already posted.
In this situation you have provided an example and questioned how the system is working as intended when someone who doesn't play a certain role is forced to play that role against a main who is higher elo.
You have also given a possible solution to the problem disabling autofill (although solutions are not always necessary, you can state a problem to bring people together in order to come up with solutions) so you already went above and beyond. Especially with listing the main con of that solution, so you are clearly mindful of its consequences.
Not to mention this problem is also one of the few remaining reasons why snowball is prevalent in league, being forced into a position where you are at a disadvantage while also against someone who knows how to abuse that disadvantage and snowball themselves.

haaaaaaalp1 votesAnd this is specifically why we have the position based mmr. Players are being put into separate mmr based on role so they are autofilled into the appropriate mmr. The problem is that riot delayed implementing role based mmr for 3 seasons so it will take ranked a few months to equlibrate. Role based mmr should have been implement at the start of role queue, no idea why we waited so long (and why certain people want to delay it even further).
