Why does Annie have a extreme high impact without having any skill requirements?

Drunken Yasuo··20 votes·4,750 views

She has the same Kit since her release in 2009 which contains spaghetti coding W and ult such as no counterplay point and click abilities which stun. besides that she has 2 80% and 1 85% ap scaling high base damage skills which are as i said before point and click and instant. did i mention that you arent able to dodge the abilities damage/stun by flashing out of it due to 2009 riot spaghetti coding?

Tune her Damage down as long as she isnt reworked because what she is right now is a low risk low skill requirement high reward champion.

but since riot ignores posts against riven vayne annie i can cry here about shitty balancing team members such as morello.

delete LoL and quit your job morello.

Edit: did i mention that annie has 5 armor at lvl 18 more than yasuo even though she has an 50 armor and MR steroid and has 625 range? FeelsGoodMan

Edit 2: for the ones who dont know what spaghetti coding is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u34Fn9keN7Q

Whats wrong with easy-to-play champions being useful?

Hell, LoL doesnt even have hard champions anyway, compared to other Mobas.

Also her range got nerfed

easy to play champions beeing played by bad players shouldnt be allowed to defeat hard to play champions beeing played by good players easily.

Except they dont, unless you are talking about direct duels, which, surprise surprise, some champions are meant to be better than others at.

ever seen banana baileys beating annie bot as yasuo vs her annie? neither did i even though banana baileys is one of the mechanically best players in NA and annie bot is just an freelo abusing one trick pony who loses with every other champ than annie in challenger

Edit: the only positive winrate over 3 or more games with a champ he has is annie, completely retarded and non skillfull

So you are a condescing asshole that sees himself as superior for playing Yasuo.

Got it. You truly are a god among men that deserves better than this game, go play Dota 2 where they have actual hard champions for your superior level.

There is a lot more to counterplay than dodging skillshots, but you play Yasuo so what do i know?

Drunken Yasuo6 votes

im not superior but my body and brain isnt as retarded as an annie main's.

what do you know? probably nothing because you didnt play in the same skill group than i do where annies know how to abuse freelo, you play at medium bronze level so what do you know, that is the real question.

So Annie is a retarded champion that horrible players win with, but she cant win at the lowest Elo?

Then again, i am not at your level because i am low elo. The Challenger Annie player isnt at your level because he plays Annie.

Nice job getting your Smurfs to up/downvote btw. Do not bother replying, because i have more than to do than to answer a condescing player that thinks he is special for maining a harder-than-average-champion. If your entire argument is focused around being higher elo, you arent worth more than this.

Drunken Yasuo6 votes

i dont need smurfs to downvote you because all you do is trashtalking from low elo like you know what annie does in "higher" elos. go expierience it yourself before you talk in this thead.

Edit: nevermind someone thinking that annie is in a good spot right now will never achieve high elo.

i downvoted you because fuck annie and fuck annie defenders

Picking Yasuo into an Annie is just asking to lose tho.

If he played anything with a long range poke he would've stomped Annie.

A trash annie will get wrecked by someone who mains anyone who outranges her like xerath cassiopia orianna not sure what your qq point is but it is wrong.

90% of the time, someone you're playing with is not significantly worse or better.

I'd like to see videos of easy to play champions played by bad people beating higher ranked hard champions.

you have no idea what the phrase 'spaghetti code' means

at least try and learn the buzzwords before you regurgitate them

the problem in the video you linked lies within ezreal's e, not annie's ult

Gorgannan4 votes

Spaghetti code W?

Is spaghetti code the new big buzzword we throw around?

If you have tried arguing for her lacking counterplay with the inclusion of things such as power curve, resources, snowballing potential, counterpick options, presence in different phases etc etc then maybe you would have a stand point.

But as this thread currently is, you do nothing but whine on how her kit isn't spammy - I am sorry, "skilled" enough so she shouldn't be strong or even useful as a mage at all.

No man, just no.

EDIT: Point and click champ shouldn't be balanced around that they have to be garbage, that's just wrong. You're effectively ignoring what skill shot kits' advantage over 1 dimensional kits, which is versatility and lacking counterpicks, here.

Drunken Yasuo6 votes

you just dont know how it feels to play against annie cause in your elo everybody plays tryndamere

I have quitted the game for a little while but when I was still playing like a few month ago, I was the only person who picks up Trynd occasionally (but only in norms, no Trynd in Ranked as far as I have seen).

Oh you're trying to suggest that Trynd is a no skill champ? While bummer, I am pretty sure a champ whose sole problem is his ulti's active time being a tad too long is broken and no skill right?

Let's not mention you have this thread dedicated to loath Annie's point and click spells while bringing up Trynd here whose only "Point and Click" his kit has is his AA (and being melee), so dunno what's going on there. Shouldn't by your logic demonstrated here in this thread that you would at least deem Trynd an okay champ?

she's insta-cancer

Her auto range is practically a moot point since it takes like half a second for her to shoot anyways. It's also 575 now. It's also silly to complain that annie has 5 more armor than yasuo at 18 and justify your complaint by saying what her e does. Does annie have dashes? Built in double crit? A projectile blocker? And for all purposes, 2 aoe suppresses? (that's what knockups pretty much are btw). How dare yasuo have a shield generated by moving while he has a projectile blocker.

"Spaghetti coding" is simply flash not letting you dodge things with cast times that don't shoot projectiles. It's as valid as complaining that flash doesn't let you dodge melee auto attacks even though you go out of range instantly.

Spaghetti coding? I haven't noticed anything weird with Annie's mechanics, could you give some examples, please?

I thought most of Spaghetti code was removed as well.

65wQhMlGlT1 votes

It's either spaghetti coding or her hitboxes not being accurate on her W and R.

Heckin Support6 votes

Why do people keep bringing this up. This is not a problem with Annie, its a problem with flash/blink abilities. It happens with any blink ability while being damaged like that.

ElJanitorFrank3 votes

That's why I asked for an example; this is not a problem with Annie.

Just about any ability like this that Riot hasn't specifically fixed acts this way. By specifically fixed, the only 2 I can think of are the conal abilities of Morde and Darius in their juggernaut updates.

Any ability that has a delayed cast will output it's damage as if everything inside the cast range is STILL in the cast range.

SEKAI2 votes

Inb4 people still believe that having more buttons to press than others is not being unfair but having more skills.

Imma just leave it here.

ModKnightsKemplar2 votes

I wouldn't say NO skills requirements.

A good understanding of the game is still needed (whatever that happens to mean at your current tier). But nothing mechanically, to be sure.

Javazon2 votes

Probably has to do with her supremely short range balancing her out. She mostly just excels in unorganized soloq. I can't think of any big issue with her playstyle. You have to let her run up to you to die or get flashed on. Plenty of counter play there, and plenty more in champion select. GL out there!Annie

53436278DEL11 votes

lol i agree just like nunu YOU will get HIT and there is nothing you can do about it

Shroom Junkie1 votes

Well, not defending Annie, but her not having a high skill cap means nothing. She can have a high an impact as an ADC and be easy af, or have the impact of a top laner and be hard as shit. Skill level doesn't matter when it comes to balancing.

Look1 votes

When you pack a champion that is considered a basic champion to learn the game with so much power then a veteran who has her mastered (actually mastered not just badge) will be a menace with them. I play a fair bit of Annie, and I still feel like she needs to be toned down, and one thing I would like to see done is her E to be reworked or not stack her passive anymore. I also feel as if her Q should have either or, but def not both there is no reason for it to refund the mana, and half the cool down. I personally think having it have a full cd length would help a bit.

1000angrybees1 votes

I'd like to point out one thing here: Doesn't Ezreal's blink not truly stop cc effects? I'm pretty sure he just teleports out regardless of the effect. Stuns will still stun him, but he'll still move to the cursor.

Other than that, I'm pretty on the fence about how fair Annie actually is.

RangoTangoGanko1 votes

because Annie is not new she is still from the time era of lets make these champs strong like remember when yi's q targeted up to 10 people that was bs now it targets only 4, possible annnie changes would be a q,e change but not supper heavy

Gorgannan1 votes

Targeted 10....

Targeted 4....

Targeting 4 is a nerf of 1, while targetting 10 hits his own team.

RangoTangoGanko1 votes

lol not it would hit creeps then 4 enemy's or be enemy's hen some creeps because balance when 1 q clears whole wave and so dose it harasses the enemy.

TyroneWatermelon1 votes

my opinion all LoL champions are easy to play, hard to master. but still annie doesnt have counterplay

Meep Man1 votes

Why does Annie have a extreme high impact without having to take any real risks?

Fixed it. There you go.

Realhrage1 votes

It has something to do with skill and balance. It's supposed to work like this: point and click stuff for noobs with decently high reward, and stuff with more reward be like skillshots and risky for higher level players. However, when the low skill starts being stronger than higher skill champs does this problem occurs.
