The problem though, those champions are supports, and Kalista is an ADC.

Mordekaiser is, and has always been, a solo-laner, a mid/top laner. Why change that? He doesn't fit as an ADC or as a support due to his kit..

Which is fine as they were made as supports. Kalista was made as an ADC so it makes sense that she has something that "binds" her to her support.

Mord, was a Mid/Top laner who could push lanes and blow people up, and is now being forced into a role he was not made for. It would be one thing to make it so he shines better in duo lanes, but not to force him into it by destroying his original Mid/Top laning.

People rage about Kalista a lot, but not for that reason. I guess when they enforce a meta that's already entrenched, people gloss over that.

Wasnt there a 1v1 tournament in Korea where Kalista actually won, or at least did great?

Sure, she only had two abilites, but she has plenty of qualities that makes her Solo Laning surprinsigly decent. New Mordekaiser has no such thing, even ignoring his W.
